Best Stay!!

Greeted by nurse sharks and sea turtles at our dock.. easiest boat dock to park at in the Abacos.. House is amazing, clean, and functional.. call a ferry and your in town or at hope town inn in less than 2 minutes.. location is really perfect

Great property in Hope Town for larger family!

Had a great stay in Hope Town with our family of seven! Very nice bedrooms each one with a king size bed and private bath, well equipped common areas, and a beautiful dock for larger boats! Very convenient location as long as you have a boat to get back and forth to town. We enjoyed our stay!

First Time in Hope Town Awesome Experience

Family Tides was the perfect home for my families long planned get away. Everything about Family Tides was as advertised. Perfectly for my family of 8 including 2 infants. The hope town marina was happy to pick us up when other family members were out on the boat. Golf carts parted at the dock were perfect for touring the island and evening dinner out. Bonefish charters for two days were amazing, many outer island and beaches/sandbars were easily accessible. Just an overall wonderful and relaxing week. We will be back to Family Tides.

Better than advertised!!!!

This was the perfect vacation home for our family. Home owner and care taker were top notch. The kitchen had two of everything you will need to cook anything. Appliances top of the line, washer dryer worked perfectly. All beds kings size and comfy. There was not one negative. It is awesome to have our 40 ft boat 10 feet behind house with water and electric. This dock could accommodate up to a 50 footer and room for a 30 tender. Would be great house for 2 families with two boats also. The savings of not paying for a marina makes this house even better. You can see grocery store across little harbor and everything was very close and easy to access. This will be our rental everytime we go to abacos!!!! Thanks John 🥇🥇🥇

Friends trip to Abaco

First time staying in a VRBO. Family Tides is a perfect place to stay for 3 couples. We were greeted by Desi and he helped off load boat. House is just like pictures (even better in person). Two large bedrooms downstairs, 2 bedrooms upstairs, all with very comfortable king size beds and own baths. Modern kitchen appliances, separate bar area, very comfortable seating in living room and large dining table. You have spectacular views of harbor inside and outside on the 3 sided screen porch. I read all the reviews prior to trip. Not having road access is not an issue. You are very restricted on island where golf carts can go. There are numerous public piers and it takes a few minutes to tie right up. Any questions, owner or Charles promptly respond. Our MS Gulf Coast crew will definitely stay at Family Tides again and refer our friends that travel that way in the future. Thank you John for your hospitality!!

Family Tides is a wonderful property

Our group of 6 thoroughly enjoyed Family Tides and all of its amenities. All 4 suites are excellent king size with private baths in each. One upstairs suite has a huge picture window with amazing views of the harbor and lighthouse. The dock system is incredible with cool lighting including underwater lighting to enjoy keeping tabs on the resident nurse shark. The extra pilings with pre-measured dock lines made coming and going in our 27 foot center console a breeze...even in windy conditions. Even though there is no road access, its easy to idle across the harbor and tie up at one of the Hope Town docks. Or if you are patronizing a restaurant they all have available dockage. In fact the Hopetown Inn and Marina will pick you up by water taxi if you call them to patronize their restaurant or bar (even their pool and swim up bar) The house and dock feel private, safe and secure while being able to enjoy views of all of the activity in the harbor. The kitchen is well supplied with cookware and top notch appliances, the gas grill is excellent, and the washer and dryer were useful after each day on the boat with extra towels (supplied). The wraparound screen porch allows you to catch a breeze or shelter from the weather. We loved how close the deck and dock were to the porch and house. You are practically on top of the water sitting on the screened porch. The open floor plan with windows everywhere offer spectacular views and scenery though-out the house. Those electric recliners were quite nice after a long day on the water! Thank you John for sharing your beautiful property with our family. Fantastic trip at a beautiful, comfortable, convenient and well maintained property. The house caretaker was an excellent communicator, arranged for a taxi at the airport and, using a grocery list we provided before our arrival, provisioned the house for us prior to our arrival. Highly recommended. We definitely got what we paid for!

This amazing property has everything you could possibly need for your stay plus some. The owner also had a property manager that will help with whatever needs you have. It is secluded but yet not as right across from the Hopetown Marina. Filtered water from refrigerator and sink and all 4 showers have amazing water pressure as well as plenty of hot water. Amazing views and amazing comfort. You will love it here!

Great Family Vacation

Family Tides was perfect for our group of 7. We woke up our first morning to dolphins and sea turtles swimming under the dock! We had coffee on the porch and saw them most mornings. The beds were very comfortable and the house was immaculate. We kept our rental boat on the dock and found incredible snorkeling while exploring the area. We had an amazing stay!

Fabulous Home

We just stayed at Family Tides for the second time, it is a fabulous location in Hopetown. We had four couples so everyone had their own bedroom and bath which made it perfect for all.We always rent a boat so we can island hop every day within the sea of Abaco. There also is a ferry to go to the restaurants and get to grocery stores nearby. Golf carts are available to rent so access to the island of Hopetown is easily accessible for most everything.I would highly recommend Family Tides as a home base, it is extremely well equipped to make any meals of your choice including grilling fish, steak or burgers. A nice bar for a quick lunch or a large dining table for eight guests to enjoy a wonderful dinner with friends. The dishwasher makes clean up a breeze and a washer and dryer to keep things tidy. The spacious living room is comfy for watching TV in the evening. The front porch has a spectacular view of the lighthouse and harbor dotted with beautiful vessels of all sizes.This is a perfect getaway for a large family or several couples to spend a week of fun and frolic in paradise.Kathi Burns and delighted friends from Maine.

Hopetown Gem

We had a wonderful seven nights at Family Tides. Great layout-very quiet-nice view of the Lighthouse. Dock access was very convenient and shuttle service worked smoothly. We will return next year.

The Perfect Getaway

Incredible home for 4 couples

This house was absolutely incredible. We had four couples staying here, and having the ability to each have a king bed and own private bathroom was a game changer. Perfect location for all things Hope Town and the private dock is also amazing. The owner John, and the property manager Charlie were both very considerate and constantly communicated with us throughout the trip.

Host is great. great home with dock at the back door! very comfortable. only challenge is access, nice that the ferry from the marina will gladly pick you up and deliver you anywhere in the harbor you want to go. upstairs bedrooms are warm, but you are in the Bahamas!

What a perfect spot

We (4 couples) arrived at the home and were immediately greeted by a property manager ( Charles) who gave us the grand tour and spent at least an hour sharing information about the house, the island, other islands and attractions. The house was perfect! What a wonderful vacation spot!!!

Amazing stay - 3 couples

Just finished a great stay at Family Tides with my wife and 2 other couples. Hope Town is a beautiful Marina town and very comfortable place to spend the week. If you’re not comfortable driving your own boat, definitely get set up with a guide to take you out on the water a few of the days during your stay. That’s what makes The Abacos so remarkable. For those that are, Island Marine is the go to place to rent a nice center console boat to get you around. We rented their 23ft Albury and had more than enough room for all 6 of us. They are always so accommodating and very reasonably priced. As other reviews stated, it’s a golf cart community, so definitely rent one from one of the local shops in Hope Town. We were able to get a 6-person cart. Definitely hit up On Da Beach, Firefly for a sunset cocktail, and our best meal was lunch at The Abaco Inn. Now onto the house. The owner was super responsive and continually checked in with us throughout the stay. It is exactly how it is pictured and we loved being somewhat isolated on our own side of the Marina. Very clean and comfortable accommodations. We could have easily fit another couple in there with us as well. Also… if you strike out on hunting for lobster (like we did) ask someone local to give you Gypsy Seafoods number. Just a local guy with fresh catches for the day. We picked up lobster tails and grouper to cook at the house. Amazing stay!

Great Stay in Elbow Cay

The house was great for our group (4 couples) with a nice front porch and view of the harbor. Also, the house was very clean. The owner was extremely quick with answering any questions we had. I would note that the house is only accessible by boat which was not an issue as we also rented a boat. Also, there are shuttles that will pick you up for meals at the local restaurants.
