The Worst Motel In Texas.

Posted May 10, 2013
Pros: I liked absolutely nothing about this hotel. Nothing.
Cons: Demolish it and put a garbage dump in its place. That would be more hygienic.
Location: Well, there's probably a car-jacking or a drug deal going on nearby.
The man behind the front desk didn't know what he was doing or understand my requests. He originally put me in the Amazon Room, which is exactly what it sounds like, before agreeing to move me over to a more traditional room. Either way, they were both gross. Grimy, stained furniture. Filthy carpet. The lock on one door was broken. No bedside lamps. This is NOT a family hotel. It is not a safe facility or a safe area. I found a used razor blade outside my door. I have never had a worse experience in any place I've stayed, and I could not wait to get out of there. If (literally) every other hotel in Houston hadn't already been filled to capacity, there is no way I would have stayed there. Never again.

I was in Houston at the same time as a big Oil & Gas conference. There were no other hotel rooms in the area available. But, I know why this hotel still had rooms available. The room was tolerable. It wasn't all that clean. The hotel manager stays behind a locked glass room, like to see at some service stations. It was big deal to get an iron and iron board. The iron had all kinds of junk in the water container.....made me not want drink the water, and the iron board had a cola stain on it. And that was supposedly the best they had. if it came down to sleeping in my car and staying at this place.....ahh...I'd flip a coin.
