Pampering but....

The staff were very attentive and friendly, the hotel spotlessly clean. Certainly merits 5 stars. However, the 19th century decor is not quite my style and the time passed since the last renovation is starting to show. In addition although it is situated in a posh neighborhood next to the big chain hotels, its location right on a main and very busy road is a little offputting.

Great stay but they charged for capucino coffee and bottle of water on breakfast. No welcome drink. Have to pay for that.

-perfect service, great location

Pros: Location and attentive staff
Location: The metro station is right our the door. Many restaurants and shopping are a short walk away.
This small hotel is a gem. I spend over 100 nights per year in 5 star hotels throughout the world each year and this is one of the best. It is small, personal and highly attentive to any request. We wish we had another couple days here.

Luxury hotel

Luxury hotel with great amenities but could use a little more tending to. We stayed at the royal suite which was very spacious, fitted with a comfortable living/ dining area, canopy bed and massive bath. However, during the daylight one could see the need for a bit more tlc around the edges. While the bath was very modern the rest of the space was a bit dated, true to its namesake. The approach to the hotel unfortunately was not great. It's right off the main road but entry to the car park was rather challenging after sundown. Absolutely fantastic staff though, we ordered room service & had a smooth experience with reception.

Classy with Personality

Nice small hotel, very well located. Nice, comfortable rooms. Pleasant courtyard that is great for enjoying local wine and relaxing at the end of busy day of touring. Very professional and welcoming staff adds to charming surroundings where tasteful and unique artwork is displayed advantageously throughout the hotel. Breakfast is excellent as are a la carte dinner meals. Highly recommended

Beautiful, well located hotel with awful Internet

Very nice small hotel in the heart Rosebank, steps away from train. Fortunately the Wifi was from all practical purposes nonexistent.

Outstanding Service, good food and facilities

Pros: Excellent location, outstanding Service, dinner limited in choice but very good. Rooms had a feel of luxury. Breakfast was perfect. good range of food
Cons: Nothing
Location: Rosebank Mall next door. Has a good African handicraft market for last minute souvenir buying. Remember to haggle for a good price at the market.
The minute we walked in, we where blown away by the excellent service and feel of the Hotel. Would highly recommend this Hotel to anyone. Right across the road from the station and next door to Rosebank Mall.
