“In the heart of downtown, lots of restaurants and shops. Right on the beach. Room had everything needed for cooking, AC worked very well”

“We love staying at the Kona Islander. It’s a great property in a great location, and we enjoyed our stay. The room is slightly on the spartan side, but we don’t need tons of bells and whistles because who goes to Hawaii to spend all day inside?”

“There was a key code situation that never got resolved. We had to Leave the door unlocked cause we thought if it locked we would be out on the street for the night. Pool was good. Price cheap but the key thing a real problem. Not fancy for sure”

“The complimentary breakfast is nice. Facilities are well maintained. Kids enjoyed the pool with waterslide a lot.”

“The view is fabulous. Everything that you could need was there. Had a little bit of trouble with the lock at first, but someone was there to help immediately. Furniture needs to be updated. The cushions were uncomfortable in the chairs and the beds were not very comfortable either. Very convenient location to everything that I was interested in being around.”

Comfortable.Great location for exploring the island. Walkable small beaches. Received a lot of different emails about the property and checking in. It made it confusing but figured it out. Its kind of like staying in a friend's guest room. Never really saw anyone.”
