"Clean room. Comfy bed. Helpful staff. Nice pool, wish it stayed open later than 9pm but understand. My biggest problem was the toilet- it wouldn’t flush properly. Having to flush 2+ times. Scary thinking I would flood the room. Parking on site was an issue too. WiFi box wasn’t working the first day but I knew how to reset it. Overall, great 3-night stay and would stay again."

"Had a beautiful time. The ocean front rooms were incredible views. The location was a perfect walking distance to so many places. The lagoon was a perfect safe ocean space for not the beat swimmers. The only complaints are the shower water was either hot or cold very hard to use. The bed was uncomfortable and The door to the patio was very hard to open. And luau was over priced for what it was. I appreciated that they cleaned our room every day and any call we had they would being up what we asked for."

"I stay here at least four days a year. It's convenient. The Ocean view is beautiful. It is getting a little worn. Housekeeping did not clean our room for three days. I had to call them. Not sure if it was poor communication with the housekeepers about room schedules. One housekeeper told me she cleans every room every day. The front desk says every other. Again, they just forgot about us. The gym is very minimal, very minimal. Okay, if you only want to use a treadmill. Two mats, and they were both old and dirty. Food is okay. Why do I stay here? Because all in all, it's right in Kona Village. Easy access to a beach. Kona Boys rentals right there. Cute pool atmosphere. And the people who have been there for a while are great."

"My wife & I spent 9 nights at this property & found a lot to like. The interior was clean & refreshed with new appliances, fixtures, countertops, paint, and furniture. The linens were clean & the beds were comfortable. The wrap-around lanai was well appointed with its only drawback being that it looked out upon the backs of commercial buildings with only a narrow view beyond (as shown in the website photos so it was no surprise, it is just what the view was). Inside the unit, our only troubles were difficulty understanding the controls for the washer, dryer, & dishwasher. Outside the unit, everything was quite clean but the complex’s age showed in many places. The elevator closest to our unit was out of order throughout our stay and the remaining elevators (2) were quite a distance from us. The shade of the underground parking garage was nice, but there were garage renovations during our stay that took away some spaces & restricted the widths of the driving aisles. We felt the non-functioning central elevator & the construction in the parking garage should have been disclosed to us before arrival and perhaps even been enough for a price reduction. We felt the price we paid was pretty much in-line with what we got (2 bedrm; 2 baths; on-site covered parking) & for where it was (heart of Kailua-Kona a stone’s throw from the water), but perhaps a little toward the higher side."

"Kona Shores was the perfect spot for our getaway. It was IMMACULATE and had everything we needed. I did think our unit was be closer to the shore on the property, but it was on the front of the property on the main road. Still, it was still quiet enough with the wind unit AC running. I will say the bathroom door was not not very private, so this studio unit is best for people traveling together who are not shy and know each other quite well!"

The space itself is cozy and stylishly furnished, and the fantastic A/C was a welcome comfort after a long day of sightseeing. We encountered a couple of minor issues during our stay, but Beverly was incredibly responsive and ensured everything was resolved perfectly. We greatly appreciated her quick and gracious assistance!"
