Comfortable.Great location for exploring the island. Walkable small beaches. Received a lot of different emails about the property and checking in. It made it confusing but figured it out. Its kind of like staying in a friend's guest room. Never really saw anyone.”

“staffs were nice and helpful. But the hotel itself was old, bedding was clean but too small couldn’t fit the king size bed. The room has very poor soundproofing, and noises from the hallway can be clearly heard. The facilities are outdated and do not justify the $400+ per night rate.”

There are also cockroaches in the room. What's more, parking fees are charged in advance, yet we are told there are no available parking spaces. “It is really very close to the beach, you can even walk it.i also love the place itself. very quiet. The only thing really is the air con is very loud that you can’t sleep! That is the tie breaker. Either you sleep in comfort with the loud sound of the air conditioner blasting loud into your ear or hot but quiet during the night. I always end up turning off the air and just taking off my clothes under the covers Lol. Also the small window by the back porch doesn’t have a curtain so the neighbor……

“My wife and I had an absolutely wonderful stay Mango Sunset and would gladly stay here again and recommend it to anyone traveling to Big Island. Dan, the owner, greeted us at the door with a jar full of homegrown ground coffee and helped us with our bags to our room. We stayed in the Ocean View room and it was fantastic. An incredibly view and very comfortable accommodations. In the morning, one of the staff members cooked breakfast both mornings we were there and it was delicious! It was a……
