So, I had used a card for my initial booking, and I only use that card for certain things, so I transfer money into that account right before I use it. Three hours before the check-in time, a man from the hotel left me a voicemail saying my card wouldn’t work so I had to make arrangements with another hotel. I called back and he just angrily answered “hello??” Instead of the hotel greeting, so I wasn’t even sure I was speaking with an employee, but he just repeated what he said in my voicemail and said “we can’t honor that so make arrangements at another hotel”.
Why not say “Ma’am, there was an issue with your card, may we try another one?” None of that was necessary. Why be so short with me; and why was he running my card before I even got there? I’m genuinely confused and annoyed.
