They were very unprofessional regarding our stay since it was through Expedia. Checking in, the agent mentioned breakfast the next day, but we found out that wasn’t the case. We were not on the list for the breakfast. Apparently because we didn’t go through Marriott. The agent shouldn’t tell us that and then it changes the next day! I think we paid enough for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Very disappointing.

We've stayed at KC Plaza Marriot several times through the years. The rooms are still pretty fresh from a reno (maybe within last 7 years??) Always like the big windows and the spacious rooms. Bathroom/shower plumbing still in great shape. Room was clean. Coffee pouches provide decent coffee. Nice TV (with cable) though remote is getting worn out. On this Saturday night plenty of guests, but we still got a quiet night's sleep. Kudos to staff as this was 07/24 weekend of crowdstrike problems, parking valets found room for our car while we checked-in and front desk comped us some things for the longer wait to check-in - much appreciated! No doubt they were having a "long" day.

The staff were fantastic! There was a shuttle service to nearby restaurants. The suggestions for dining places were great. My only complaint was that there is road construction around the hotel but it looks like they are going to add a trolly system that will make it that much easier to get to restaurants in the area.

Major road construction. Was not aware of it before booking. Hard to take the dog out, had to walk through construction and on the street to get to the side of the building to let the dog is the bathroom. This was the only entrance to let her go…not sure why they would let pets be welcomed if there wasn’t a way to accommodate them. Pet station was out of bags. However, room was clean and comfortable.
