“Excellent onsen hotel right at the end of the first day of the Kohechi Kumano Kodo pilgrimage trail. I came for the onsen and mountain seclusion, but they had such good maps of the Kohechi at the front desk that I decided to walk back to Koyasan the day I checked out. It’s about 20km through the mountains from Nosegawa Onsen to Koyasan, walking on a mix of well-kept trails and paved roads; overall, a moderately difficult hike with very good signage. “El templo es muy bonito, pero la experiencia muy decepcionante. En el check in no dan información del templo, te informan de horario de cena, desayuno y ceremonia, sin más. Las habitaciones están en fuera del templo, por lo que a las 17. No hay ningún tipo de contacto ni actividad para hacer ni te ofrecen info. La cena y el desayuno no explican los alimentos ni cómo tomarlos (de la cena hubo un niño chillando por la sala, bastante decepcionante), la cena muy bueno todo y el desayuno cositas más...

“For most people it’s a once in a lifetime experience as it was for us. Good food, the onsen was not so good, ceremonies, which due to our lacking Japanese we couldn’t understand. But all in all a great experience. It was rather cold in the temple. ”
