"My partner and I booked this property however when we arrived at 7pm, there was a large gate blocking the entrance and no one was there. We tried and tried to call and message the property and never received a response. La Fortuna is somewhat out in the country without many on the spot lodging options. "This hotel is very peaceful. The staff were all very friendly and attentive to our needs. We had breakfast included in our stay and it was delicious especially the coffee. We felt secured in knowing there was a coded gate to be able to enter the hotel. There weren’t may people staying at the hotel so we had the whole pool with the stunning Mountain View to ourselves. A short walk (or fast drive) to La fortuna waterfall which should be visited. If you’re looking for a slow pace, chill place I highly recommend. "
