"Arrivés dans l'hébergement, on est agréablement surpris par le cadre de la pièce à vivre: lumineuse, bel ensemble joliment décoré, harmonie d'ensemble. Sa situation dans le village est aussi exceptionnelle: tout prés du port, des balades à pied, des restaurants. On n'a pas besoin de véhicule pour découvrir le joli site ou se situe le gite. "Our stay was a 3 night break . The hotel staff were extremely helpful and efficient. The bed was comfortable and room was clean. The restaurant was not open for dinner but it was okay to order food in or there was a cheese board ,meat board or a mixture of served with salad and fresh bread.Excellent The breakfast was also very fresh and tasty. The hotel has a bus stop close which took you into the centre of Cherbourg . From the hotel within a few minutes you could walk along a very long promenade which had lovely views of the sea."

"Amazing stay from start to finish. The staff was absolutely awesome—friendly, welcoming, and helpful throughout my entire stay. The room was clean, comfortable, and very nice. The location is fantastic, especially if you’re visiting Normandy to see the D-Day sites. Everything I wanted to visit was easily accessible from the hotel. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend Hotel Le Sainte Mère and will definitely be back soon. Five stars all the way!"

"My first time in a youth hostel (I am 62 and didn’t bother to translate the property name) My 13yo daughter was pleasantly surprised by the property and I hope it will encourage her to consider Youth Hostels in her future adventures (without me). Staff and other customers were friendly the accommodations were more that adequate although a little basic but for an adventurous younger traveller an excellent opportunity"

"Really nice family-run hotel, situated in a quiet side street near the main area of Cherbourg for shops, bars and restaurants, and about 30 minutes' walk from the ferry terminal. Quiet, clean and comfortable, with a delicious buffet breakfast comprising many home-made treats. A comfortable bed combined with the quiet environment and blackout curtains to ensure a good night's sleep. The bathroom was spacious, clean and well-equipped, adding to the impression of a thoughtfully furnished and decorated room. Many of the staff you will encounter are members of the extended family who run the hotel, and you will find them to be friendly and attentive but discreet. They were also happy to converse with me in French which was good practice for me! I actually liked everything about it and I think you probably will too..."

"A great little hotel tucked away in the pedestrian area with easy free parking on (Parking Divette) a few minutes walk. Reception staff very friendly and helpful and room immaculately clean and tidy with zero clutter. I didn't get breakfast, but it looked well set up with a small dining area for the morning. Check in was smooth and a lift provides easy access to the upper floors. Would definately book again."
