“The Host was excellent, as were the accommodations ONCE INSIDE!! This is not a place for the elderly or handicapped. To enter the property, you have to walk over stones to reach two flights of outdoor wooden stairs. The Host did offer to move us to a ground-floor unit, but it was further away from the downtown area. ”

“The cabin was cute but not as nice or clean as pictures. The worst was beds had been slept in as if someone had just left! No top sheet so I am sure blankes were not laundered either. Bbq was a joke, missing a grate and tank empty and not even connected so no way to cook a meal even if we had stayed! Not sure if this is on a campground there was a trailer close by. The bathroom is in separate building, probably shared, it had no toilet paper and bath tub had insects in it. We left and stayed in……

There were enough beds for our group and the facilities ensured we enjoyed home comforts while also living up to promises of quiet and solitude in nature. We had long chats by the fire by night and hiked in the surrounding Backus conservation area by day. We will definitely be back in the future! ”
