“Perfect stop for a long journey”

“Helpful staff , excellent room”

“I've stayed here, overnight, on two occasions in the last month. During both stays I have come down for a continental breakfast either at 7.45am or 8.30am only to find the through door into the breakfast area was locked and no one around to give access. This meant I had to go to a nearby shop to buy breakfast at an extra cost to me even though it was already part of my booking cost. “Once I got my head past the idea that ‘this is not a Marriott’ I came to realize this is a great hotel. Room was comfortable. I was able to park right outside the hotel front door every night. Breakfast was good. The bar area is well presented with a good mix of locals and tourists to talk to. Room attended to daily. The local town is very pleasant. Some great coffee shops and pubs.”

“Hicimos noche de camino a Edimburgo. La habitación era espaciosa, cómoda y limpia. El alojamiento era una casa antigua pero reformada y con encanto. El personal muy amable y nos ayudó en todo lo que pudo. No teníamos adaptador de corriente y nos prestaron uno. La comida era buena y tenian una bonita terraza para tomar cerveza”

“Very nice, big room. Very comfortable bed, good bathroom. Lovely pub. Great cooked breakfast. Friendly, good value for money.”

“The staff were very welcoming and friendly, very helpful. The location was perfect, the food spot on. Couldn’t be happier. Great atmosphere.”

“Beautiful setting, Staff friendly and very helpful. Room was charming. Plenty of parking. We had underfloor heating and found the room too hot through the night and bed a little to hard for me. If looking for hairdryer ours was positioned behind the curtain and unable to find it when I needed it.”

“Really cool little town with a great castle ruin.”

“A lovely central spot in the heart of Richmond. Staff were excellent and the breakfast is exceptional with local produce used. Would highly recommend”

“The room was nice and the bedding was amazing. Only thing to spoilt it was the such noisy plumbing, seriously, a tap on , toilet flick and shower was shocking, A poor nights sleep and the pipes were banging. Friendly staff but I couldn’t stay because of the noise x”
