This was, by far, the worst hotel experience my husband and I have ever had. We experienced a maintenance issue that was seriously dangerous to my husband and could have been horrible and physically painful if it had happened to one of our children, so we requested to change rooms. Management insisted on sending the maintenance guy (Henry) first to look at the issue. Henry comes into our room, is condescending, rude, implies my husband is a liar and incompetent, and insists that there is nothing wrong and we simply don’t know how to use the shower.
Henry starts yelling at my husband and arguing with him while the manager stands there and does nothing. When the manager failed to intervene, I requested Henry leave our room and finally, after more arguing and biting comments, he does.
My husband goes again asks the manager for another room. While we are changing rooms, Henry comes back and starts arguing with and yelling at my husband again. I ask Henry to leave, just walk away, and he insults me with a disrespectful comment. I go downstairs and tell the manager he needs to come tell his employee to leave us alone and leave our floor. The manager then comes up and blames my husband for being upset about the situation.
Not once did anyone apologize for the circumstances of the room or the poor maintenance of the plumbing. Not once did the manager apologize for the behavior of his employee. Not once did either of them show sympathy for our concern about the room.
