“Das Familienzimmer war sehr schön eingerichtet. Es war sehr sauber. Die Betten waren sehr bequem. Die Skipisten sind nicht weit entfernt. Alles super. ”

“Das Appartement befindet sich in einem sehr schön restaurierten Hofgebäude. Schlichte aber sehr hochwertige Ausstattung und alles sehr sauber. Einzig eine gemütliche Sitzgelegenheit ( Sofa) würde den Wohlfühlfaktor noch perfektionieren.”

“Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt in diesem Hotel. Check-in und Check-out liefen reibungslos und das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Zimmer war sauber, gut gepflegt und mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht. Auch die Ruhe im Zimmer war sehr angenehm. Das Buffet war vielfältig und es war für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei. “Wir waren 14 Tage im Ahorn Waldhotel Altenberg und können dieses Hotel 100- prozentig weiterempfehlen. Insbesondere das Angebot der Küche war vielseitig und gut, das Personal freundlich und hilfsbereit. Eventuell sollten öfters Pommes oder Kartoffeln mit bereitgestellt werden ( beispielsweise fehlten nach unserer Auffassung beim Abendessen mit dem Angebot Rinderbraten die zugehörigen Kartoffeln oder Klöße ). Through Expedia, we booked and fully paid for a room for two nights — December 30 and 31. The room was very cold, and we had to sleep fully dressed. “Very nice and clean accomodation for the price, right in the center of the town. Bathroom is big and hotel room is quite modern. Only downside is the lack of a room access keycard as the hotel still uses the classic key to unlock your door. In 2026 I think all hotels no matter what location should implement keycards to access all hotel facilities as it’s more secure and easy maintenance for the staff and is just expected these days.”

“Nice property overlooking the Elbe river. They don't take credit cards which requires a transfer from a bank for 70% of your stay to reserve your room. The owners are very friendly and eager to make your stay enjoyable. They own and operate an ice cream shop and restaurant with typical German food options adjacent to the hotel. We enjoyed dinner dining on the terrace next to the Elbe. Typical of many European hotels there is no A/C or fans but they are seldom needed. Bathroom was updated and……
