This was a wonderful experience for my wife and I. It is located at the midway point of the island so you can get anywhere you need pretty quickly. The rooms were cozy and the staff were very helpful and caring. The cats, peacocks, and chickens added to the island vibe. The rates were very fair for the immense value we received!

We absolutely loved staying here! The room was spacious and clean, the property was adorable, the view of the mountain was beautiful, and the staff was super nice. They offer live entertainment on the property several nights a week, and a delicious continental breakfast in the mornings. Usually I prefer staying in a resort/hotel, but this was so quaint and adorable I would absolutely stay again!

Super relaxing and peaceful stay, they let you rent towels, umbrellas, boogie boards, and snorkel gear for free which was awesome. Staff was super friendly, and they had fun activities on the property like live music and movie nights. The breakfast was good, all of the food offered was from Costco except the fresh fruit but it was still filling and yummy. Overall a great stay :)

Enjoyed the quiet, serene and pristine property that is nestled by the gorgeous Kauai mountains. Love the roaming chickens and peacocks. Close to airport, shopping, restaurants, and a fabulous beach park. I’d stay again in a heartbeat! Mahalo for a memorable Kauai stay!

The owner and everyone who works there are so incredibly warm and friendly! We didn't stay long, but thoroughly enjoyed our time at this quaint and historic inn. The lush mountains in the backdrop, blooming bushes all around the property, and free live music + a delicious complimentary breakfast were some of our favorite things about it. The beds are comfortable, and the location is great. Fun fact: it's the oldest hotel in all of Hawai'i! Def recommend.

We had a wonderful time! Our first trip to HI and we celebrated a 50th Birthday. We saw a tone of beautiful Gold Dust Day Geckos running about. The inn has got a historic vibe, our room was clean, quiet, and had a view of the ridge behind. The inn location is a quick 2 min drive through a port yard area to a shopping area with restaurants and other activities. We didnt use the amenities during our stay as we wanted to spend our time exploring the island, which the inn sits about half ways drive to each end of the highway. The Staff are great and very helpful, great spot if your not looking for all the crowded hotel tourists gathered in one resort.

I’m so glad we chose to stay at the Kauaʻi Inn. With its rich history and old-Hawaiʻi charm, it gave us a much more authentic Hawaiian experience than staying at one of the big-name hotels. The location was perfect and close to everything we wanted to see and do. Most importantly, the staff were absolutely wonderful and made us feel so welcomed. We unexpectedly had to extend our stay by two nights because of the hurricane, and Phil went above and beyond to help us and accommodate the changes. We’re so grateful for his kindness and hospitality during an already stressful situation. Thank you, Kauaʻi Inn, for making our stay so special. 🌺 We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a genuine, welcoming, and historic Kauaʻi experience!

We had an incredible time at this hotel. They offer movie nights, complimentary breakfast, and even live music performances. They also provide free rentals like boogie boards, snorkeling gear, and beach chairs. The atmosphere is incredibly welcoming and the staff is incredibly friendly and hospitable. We’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend this place for anyone looking to stay in Kauai on a budget. The Mountain View’s right behind are also stunning.

Washer and dryer was something we were really happy to have since we were there for 12 days and they were broken for the whole trip. Definitely not a deal breaker. The hotel was awesome!! The breakfast def saved us a lot of money and was good!

We really enjoyed our stay at Kauai Inn! The property itself is beautiful and peaceful, with lots of wildlife to keep you company. You will be greeted by many roosters, their resident cats, and even peacocks! The complimentary breakfast was as basic as it gets - bagels, croissants, cereal, fruit, coffee, and tea. There is free parking, a pool, live music on certain week nights, and movie night on Saturdays. They rent out snorkel gear and beach towels as well. It is located close to the airport and other local restaurants. Overall we would absolutely return here if we visit Kauai again!
