Relax at this Private, Peaceful, Dog-Friendly Ecohouse in the Woods.

Lots of privacy and a convenient location make this nice quiet place in the woods a great place to relax. Entertain indoors with a 75" entertainment system, a well-equipped kitchen, and sit-down dining for 15 guests. Outside wander around the 9-acre wood lot with lighted walking trails and lots of wildlife.

In the winter, we have a lighted sledding hill for you to enjoy! We welcome pets and you'll find a dog bed, bowls, treats, and toys for their use.

There are three large parks and two rivers within a mile of the property. Nearby connections to hiking, bicycle, and water hiking trails include the North Country Trail, Lowell Area Trailway, Flat River Water Trail, Grand River Water Trail, Fred Meijer River Valley Trail, Michigan State Snowmobile Trails and more!

A nice quiet location

A nice place to stay, close to Grand Rapids, that is pet friendly. We were in town for a 3 day conference and this place fit our needs very well at a great price.

Comfy Home Surrounded by Forest

This home was perfect for our family. Nice sized kitchen, dining room and living room, plus a private yard surrounded by forest. I docked a star for accuracy of listing simply because the description states it can sleep ten, yet there are only enough beds for four people (which, to be fair, the description does only list three beds). We had five people, so my youngest slept on the couch (not a sleeper sofa). There's no way this house can sleep ten, unless people sleep on the floor or camp in the yard. But, if your group has 4 people, or 5 and one is willing to sleep on the comfy couch, then this place is perfect!

Family Retreat in the Woods

Our grandchildren were delighted to use the provided flashlights to walk the ravine/wooded and "lighted pathway". Their imaginations were creating all kinds of stories on their walking adventure. We had a wonderful weekend celebrating an early Thanksgiving and Great Grandma's eighty-eighth birthday.

Issues with allergies

We stayed 1 night out of a 3- night stay. My husband got extremely itchy and congested after only 6 hours in the property. I got a scratch at the back of my thrat and our friends who visited for the evening stated it smelled moldy. My husband died have a history of allergies but never this severe. I have no allergies and i was uncomfortable. Fan and light in bathroom was disgusting. Sink in kitchen was not cleaned well. There were wet spots on ceiling, so feel there was mold. Table was also unacceptable with lots of stains. I would just be careful if you have a tendency towards allergies.

Tranquil all around you!

One minor problem and contacted owner. Issue was fixed within an hour! Saw several different wildlife. We used the sunroom a lot and experienced yellow finches which we really don’t experience down south. We replenished birdseed so we could enjoy our entire visit. Son saw bats too! Easy walk to park and walking bridge over Grand River. If you want private surroundings, this place is for you. Will not disappoint. We will be back!!!

It was nice

Everything was very clean and well stocked the bedroom with the single bed was extremely firm and kind of hard on my hips,The trails I felt like were overgrown and kind of hard to follow lots of poison ivy. Im the kind of person that likes To have all my ducks in a row before I head somewhere and unfortunately this place does not give you check in information until 15 minutes till time I did not like that it made me feel like I was missing something the whole way. I was glad to have my dogs there with me and I didn't enjoy the stay it was cozy

We had 4 ladies from 4 different parts of West Michigan gather togeter to see The Accidentals. It was a perfect setting, & only a short drive to the music. I wish I would have brought my dogs! The house is truly dog friendly
