"nice new business hotel with new very nice rooms, but the lobby looked like a haunted house with no service staff to speak of and no smiles. no decent restaurants in hotel or in the area as district is new. I would recommend Novotel to send their staff from Paris to help train the locals more. "

"The hotel is extremely nice. I was thoroughly surprised when I arrived to see how well maintained it is. The hotel isn't really near anything - we stayed here after taking the evening train from Shanghai before embarking on to Moganshan the next day. It's a perfect place to stay for one night. Rooms are spacious, though they do allow smoking in some rooms so just be aware when booking to note your preference. Breakfast was a good mix of Western and Chinese. "After 7 years in China probably the best hotel/resort experience I've had so far. The manager, Ms. Yan was awesome from the start, sending a message soon after my initial booking, meeting me upon and arrival, advising me on hiking, and making sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. Quick to switch rooms on request, providing ample water, helping with recommendations, and the breakfast was incredible for the price(plus they allowed take away). Was the equivalent of a 4 or 5 star hotel in America. Truly a great experience. 5m drive to Westlake."
