Nice little house

Went to watch a concert at the soccer stadium. Right off the interstate. Short walk to the stadium. Would stay there again.

I had difficulty confirming whether or not I had paid for the room. This may be on Expedia and the host kept telling me I wasn’t booked when the money was already taken out of my account.. Chip did let us check in early, which was a plus. Once inside, rooms were spacious and beds were comfortable. However there were many things broken or not working, such as plugs, shower knobs and door knobs. The outside of the property was overgrown with weeds and not appealing. There were no smoke detectors on the premises which caused concern. When you went to open the dishwasher, the whole unit came out from behind. Our food got ruined because it froze in their refrigerator. For a place that sleeps 6, there should be more than one bathroom. It also says walking distance to convenience, but it wasn’t. It was VERY noisy, being close to the fire department. Also, we had no water from getting off the plane and there was no where in walking distance to get any. Lastly, there was no where to hang clothing or towels, because there were no closets. It wasn’t terrible, but for what we paid, it wasn’t worth it. I don’t appreciate being responsible for doing laundry and taking out the trash while on my vacation. Isn’t that what the cleaning fee is for? Overall would not recommend.

Cute & Rustic Abode

This booking is great for 2 couples or a group of friends looking to stay within a fair distance of broadway and close to other restaurants + shops. Communication: Chip was a great communicator from booking to check in. We had an easy check in and check out process. Location/Safety: The neighborhood the house resides in feels pretty safe. The surrounding area not so much. The windows on the house were either cracker, framing is falling away from the house, or did not properly locked. It seemed like at one point the windows were broken into. It made us feel a little uneasy not having a couple of windows that locked and seeing that screens were torn or busted in. We opted to stay closed to the neighborhood unless taking an uber elsewhere. There is construction going on with houses being renovated so it seems like they are trying to turn the neighborhood around to a more modern day feel (no noise during our stay). Overall, we had no problems but would recommend to stay close! An uber to broadway was less than $12 and only about 8-10 min drive. There are also cute restaurants and shops including brunch about 3-5 minutes away which is less than a $10 uber. Cleanliness: The house was pretty clean. We had no issues as far as the bedrooms and bathroom go. We did have to deep clean the coffee maker as it was dirty. Other than that no complaints. Misc: The TV didn’t work for us during our stay, unsure why. The porch was great to sit on in the mornings!

Great location!

We travelled to Nashville to see a concert and the location of this home was perfect. Close to Geodis Park and we enjoyed the shops and restaurants of 12 South. The house is older (but clean), the landscape is a little rough and the driveway was challenging to get in and out of, but the house was clean and had everything we needed. We felt safe in the neighborhood too. Overall, it was great and I felt the owner described the house well in their description.

Would definitely recommend

The place was very clean. The rooms are much larger than they appear in the pictures and the beds were comfortable. Chip was kind and accommodating. The neighborhood was nice and not far from downtown. We would stay here again and would recommend this place to others.

Charming little house

For y’all saying this house is old. Yes it is… But that’s the beauty of it! Short term rentals are meant for a host to share their home with you, and this is exactly what Chip and this beautiful house is. The house has everything you need, even a few communal things in the fridge! I find beauty in the historic homes and I appreciate Chip conserving this property. If you can’t deal with wrinkles in a beautiful house, maybe you should stay at the many new constructions homes that are replacing them. When an issue arise Chip was quick to come and take care of it. Thanks again for sharing your house with us. Regarding the neighbors old house, don’t judge if you don’t know who actually lives there. Some people don’t have the money nor the age to be putting money into a house.

Quirky, cool old house in a good location

The place was clean, had a cool vibe with some funky, eclectic decor. Chip was quick to reply to any questions. We were very disappointed with the exterior of the home which was run down, unkept, and dirty. The front porch has old worn furniture that you don't want to sit on. The shower needs a new shower head and the valves fixed as it was frustrating to get it to work correctly. We kept the shades down because the dirt and disgusting old windows were not to pleasant to look at. The neighbors house also looked extremely run down and filthy. Although the location is good, it is at least a mile to any restaurants and shops. Not really as convenient as the discription makes it sound. It's nice and roomy inside and we did enjoy our stay. The TV has very few channels.

Nashville celebration

Took my husband for a surprise birthday getaway with our besties! Chip was responsive throughout our stay and it was on a nice quiet street close to everything! Very comfy beds! Would for sure come back!

4th of July in Nashville

Overall the stay was good. I feel that the house was clean and the host was responsive. The house and the house next door were the two worst houses in the neighborhood as far as outward appearances. At first glance I was extremely disappointed, but the inside was as I said before clean and adequate with one exception. There is a huge Elvis mural overlooking the toilet that literally SCARES you as you enter the bathroom! Swear to God, I am not kidding .

Would not recommend

The house was old but was not properly maintained. A few gadgets and furniture made it ok but the cleanliness was lacking. Rugs were ragged and dirty, the windows had cobwebs, shower curtain had stains, the shower faucets were old and about to give away, the fence door was completely broken, the patio cushions were torn and faded, the kitchen chair was broken. On top of all this the front door doesn't have dead bolts on inside.. just the number lock on the outside. Wouldn't recommend for families with small kids.
