The courtyard is a nice area to sit and relax. The main door is secured by a keypad lock. The parking lot is secured at night. The courtyard is also secured by a keypad on the gate, so we felt safe. The room we were in was very dusty (floorboards, walls, ceiling fan), and the shower was moldy in caulked areas. Staff didn't arrive on site until 10am so there was no coffee until they made it and put it out. No coffee maker in the room. The cost of parking is not worth $25 per night: it was nice to have my vehicle off the street, but the lot is VERY TIGHT! Every day there was a vehicle parked in a non-parking area, so it was difficult for those in a parking spot to get out. It took me over 5 minutes to get out of my spot on the morning I left because of that vehicle being where it should not have been (I took a picture and wish I could include it with this review). I had to inch back and forward, over and over, until I could finally get free! Should've started knocking on guest doors to find the owner, but I didn't. The staff was friendly, but only on site from 10am until 6pm. No way to contact anyone if we had a problem. One guest told us there was a dog in the room next to them, which barked and scratched at the door while the tenants were out until wee hours in the morning, but of course had not way to contact the Guest House owner/staff to have the issue taken care of. I'll definitely find another place to lodge the next time I visit New Orleans.
