I visit NY regularly and The Arlo won’t be my first choice next time. While the space is nice enough the staff are far from a four star experience. Unhelpful and a little clueless at what customer service means. And the toilet paper… I can’t even believe I’m writing this but… it’s that bad.

There is lots of construction around all of Manhattan, but specifically next door, lots of Garbage bins (and people going through them looking for cans and bottles for $),

The room was not very clean. Not dusted and my bedding was not fresh. There was stains on the bedding. Additionally during my 2 night stay, housekeeping didn’t come once.

The hotel and the location are good, but the attention to detail could be better. For example, if I am paying an “urban fee” every day for two bottles of drinking water, I shouldn’t have to keep asking the front desk for it. Or replacement linens. The staff was quick and accommodating once I alerted them, but… It’s a good spot if you’re attending the event at the Javits.
