Stayed for several weeks and ended up extending our stay at this rental. The cottage wasnt far from town and had an amazing view of the mountains. It was the perfect tiny house stay! The host answered all of our questions quickly and had great communication with us while we stayed. I would highly recommend booking the cottage or with this host.
The house is perfect for 1 or 2 people. The kitchen had plenty of dishes to use for meals and the bed was comfortable. Host was quick to answer calls if I had a question.
The cottage was adorable and in a lovely private location close to town. It was a beautiful drive up the mountain from Newland but also close enough that if we forgot something we could run back to town quickly. We enjoyed the feeling of being surrounded by trees but still being able to see the mountains in the distance. The kitchen table and desk areas were very helpful for finishing a couple of art projects the night before our wedding!
We loved the most was the location. While its remoteness and steep, winding road are not for everyone, we were delighted to find a place where our dog could have some freedom. We loved the fire pit at night and the cottage decor and amenities. What we didn’t like was the full sized bed instead of the queen as advertised and the worn out mattress. Also in my mind, it was not a one bedroom cottage because the bedroom was the living room and vice versa. And there was not a door on it so I couldn’t make coffee in the kitchen without waking my husband. We still had a great time!
