“Some staff members were great but some were not so nice.
They didn’t really introduce facilities in the room to us. Lighting in bathroom and private onsen was very dim - I slipped and fell as I missed the step between the onsen and shower room.
Public bath was ok. Quite small.
Meals were ok. The staff at restaurant for dinner was smart in bringing me packs of ice for my bruised and swollen arm.

The hotel is exactly what I imagined a perfect stay would be like in Japan. It has EVERYTHING I expected. The traditional style, the view, the food, the vibe..
The staff are very welcoming and responsive and helpful.
I bought the half board. The breakfast and dinner are wonderful. The location is also great, very close to the sites and nice cafes and restaurants. Strongly recommended! Would definitely stay longer for a week next time in Nikko.
