Pros: Nothing.
Not what we were expecting from the writeup of the place and the pictures.. Old and out dated. Food was not good. Would not go back.

Reasonable and Quiet yet Close

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff, quiet location, close proximity to town and attractions.
Cons: AC window unit wasn't working well, but this is NH!
Location: If you're here from up North, you're probably shopping tax free. If you're coming from the South, you're probably enjoying the outdoors!
We had a superb visit in this historic inn. Rooms are comfortable and the place is quiet, though only a couple minutes away from downtown. Phone and email interactions with host were clear, polite, and gracious. We arrived late and our key and instructions were waiting. After I got the kids settled in, I headed down to one of the two living rooms and got some work done (WiFi was quick and free). We were only in town one night for an appointment my daughter had the next morning in North Conway. As the appointment was early in the morning, the staff prepared a breakfast for us to enjoy before the kitchen opened. When I returned from dropping off my daughter, my teenage son was polishing off a breakfast of thick French Toast he said was wonderful (the kitchen staff said they'd seen few people finish it). We headed off to enjoy fly fishing in the Saco before picking up my daughter and heading home.

My communications with the inn and friendliness of the staff were great! Breakfast was fresh, appealing and hearty. Our room was on the top floor and we enjoyed our stay.

A Home Run

Posted Jul 16, 2017 on Orbitz
Pros: Everything
Location: Minutes from North Conway center--tons to do there
Cozy bed and breakfast just far enough away from the main drag to provide a quiet haven for the 2 days I was there. Stayed in the Babe Ruth room (this was the place he'd stay when he came north to hunt) with it's own sink and bathroom (Shower). It's an old home/hotel with lovely antique furnishings but it is clean and comfortable and quiet. The staff is helpful and pleasant. The breakfast was delicious! Lots of options--I chose Mediterranean eggs on grilled wheat toast. My husband had the omelette loaded with veggies and sharp cheddar cheese. I'd definitely stay there again.

Great B & B in North Conway

Posted Jul 5, 2017 on Hotels
My family and I stayed two night in July before the 4th. We have a toddler and I didn't see that the room I booked, did not allow children. We were charged for 3 people even though we slept in the same bed which is fair, but not something that was on my mind when booking since we have normally traveled in regular chain hotels. Luckily Freddie, the owner was able to find us a room that allowed a child. The breakfast was fantastic(included!) and the trout pond yielded a couple of rainbows for me. The hotel was in a good location for nearby Storyland, Echo Lake State park, Cathedral Ledge, Diana's Baths, and of course, the White Mountains They had a pool and a hot tub as well.

Thank you for your great feedback. We are a Bed & Breakfast catering to couples and families alike. Some rooms however are "adults only" in order to provide a restful stay to couples traveling without children. These adult only rooms are well mentioned as adult only in the title of the room. Big chain hotels propose breakfast that is usually a continental breakfast or a buffet, for an extra fee. Our room rates are double occupancy (for 2 people) and include a FREE full cooked to order breakfast each morning. For any additional person in the room (even children sleeping in the same bed as their parents) there is an extra fee of $20/night + tax.

Bed and breakfast on nice setting.

Posted Jan 2, 2017 on Hotels
Cozy B and B, staff made home made cookies and always had tea / coffee available. It was amazingly quiet which was lovely to sleep in! The decor is extremely out dated and therefore felt dirty/dusty. Owners kind, food good.

Thank you for your nice feedback. We are sorry you do not share our taste in decor though: It is not outdated and dusty at all, but rustic and country and dusted regularly.
