Reasonable and Quiet yet Close

Posted Aug 30, 2017
Pros: Friendly staff, quiet location, close proximity to town and attractions.
Cons: AC window unit wasn't working well, but this is NH!
Location: If you're here from up North, you're probably shopping tax free. If you're coming from the South, you're probably enjoying the outdoors!
We had a superb visit in this historic inn. Rooms are comfortable and the place is quiet, though only a couple minutes away from downtown. Phone and email interactions with host were clear, polite, and gracious. We arrived late and our key and instructions were waiting. After I got the kids settled in, I headed down to one of the two living rooms and got some work done (WiFi was quick and free). We were only in town one night for an appointment my daughter had the next morning in North Conway. As the appointment was early in the morning, the staff prepared a breakfast for us to enjoy before the kitchen opened. When I returned from dropping off my daughter, my teenage son was polishing off a breakfast of thick French Toast he said was wonderful (the kitchen staff said they'd seen few people finish it). We headed off to enjoy fly fishing in the Saco before picking up my daughter and heading home.

Bed and breakfast on nice setting.

Cozy B and B, staff made home made cookies and always had tea / coffee available. It was amazingly quiet which was lovely to sleep in! The decor is extremely out dated and therefore felt dirty/dusty. Owners kind, food good.

Thank you for your nice feedback. We are sorry you do not share our taste in decor though: It is not outdated and dusty at all, but rustic and country and dusted regularly.

Pros: the charm of an old ski lodge.
Location: great location for ski, hiking and going downtown to main street.
it was a fun overnight in the white mountains, touring backroads and inns.

Cozy hotel

I love this bed and breakfast, it's probably my fourth or fifth time back. We always enjoy our stay here, breakfast is delicious and staff are always friendly. This is our go to spot whenever we are in North Conway. Cant say enough of good things, we always have a pleasant stay here.

Adequate but pricey for what you get

Posted Oct 20, 2016 on Hotels
This place has great potential but we were disappointed with our overall stay, especially for the price. The room was TINYfor two people and was in serious need of refurbishment and updating. The shower stall was ridiculously small and the matress hard and lumpy. It was clean but so old and dated, with a musty smell. The public areas were nice, the piano room with a log fire and the breakfast area. Breakfast was adequate. All in all, this place needs a revamp.

It is a ok hotel, small room and bathroom, stay in the third floor, no elevator, complimentary breakfast only lasts 1.5h (7:30-9:00AM). Will not recommend to go this place if you have big luggage and more freedom.

Thank you for your feedback. We are not a hotel ; we are a Bed & Breakfast, which means that this is our private home (we live on premises) and we welcome guests in our guestrooms year round. The room you stayed in is titled "standard queen room - third floor - no elevator" so we would expect our guests to be aware of the type of room that it is! Our cooked-to-order breakfast is served between 7:30 and 9 am each morning, as mentioned on our website, and we found that this is most convenient to most of our guests.
