Loved the architecture that resembled the "old world" feel of Dutch living. After we walked up the wooden stairs to our room. We used an actual key to open the door. In the morning, we turned on the fireplace a little bit to warm up for breakfast. We opened the shutters to enjoy the natural light as we ate. Having a refrigerator, microwave, & Keurig in the room was convenient for other meals, too. The bathroom was mostly tiled in white with a jetted tub & vintage mirror.
The only items that seemed odd to us was the dangling smoke detector, the carpet stains in the room, & the wifi that frequently cut in and out.
Since we were staying for a running event, we appreciated the shuttle service to get runners to the start line. The part that was a little frustrating was being unable to get a late checkout for those running the 26-mile marathon since the start & end time wasn't feasible to return to checkout at 11.
