Not what we expected. The location was fantastic and near many cafes, restaurants, and attractions. It was easy to get around by walking and it was very close to the metro station. We were disappointed by the rooms and the service. The room was tiny, which wasn’t unusual, but it did not have any amenities. There was barely a nightstand for 2 people (just a soft stool), only 1 tiny coffee table and only 2 clothes hangers. The location of the bed regarding the window was unpleasant, and it was common for us to wake up due to the 4 am sunrise shining in our face from the bottom of the curtains. The bathroom also had no ventilation and easily became musty. The service was extremely lacking. They only clean the room, replace the dirty towels and clean the sheets once a week. We also left our baggage in their storage room, which was quite nice to have (but dirty), but when we returned to pick up our bags, the receptionist was nowhere to be found for 30 minutes.

I went there for a festival and i picked something easy to walk to from the main station. This hotel is in a walkable distance from the main station and there's another train station 9min away where you can catch the train to the airport, if you dont want to walk to the main station. Easy check in and check out, room was very good, i upgraded for a small fee as i wanted something were i can open the window, facing the street(my initial room was facing the courtyard) . It was a little bit noisy in the night so i ended up using the AC and closing the window but room was very good, full of light during the day(which i personally care about even do i barely stay in all the hotel rooms i book). Everything was great, i was there for just one night but i enjoyed my staying and i would definitely go back.

I was confused by the self-check-in process at this hotel, but there was a friendly staff member available to help me out. There is a workstation to use for checking in, and you scan to create your own keycard. I reserved the “Economy Double Room (Small)” and it was, indeed, quite small. There was a phone in the room but none of the other common amenities (e.g. safe, refrigerator, microwave). There was no closet but there were hooks on the walls for hanging clothes. The walk-in shower was only half covered by a glass partition and it was hard to keep water from spraying into the bathroom. We found the bed to be quite comfortable. A breakfast buffet is available but wasn’t included in our rate. We were told that it is less costly to pay for breakfast the day before, which is what we did. The buffet had a nice selection of hot and cold dishes. We enjoyed it. The location was very good for us. There are a number of interesting restaurants within a block or two of the hotel, and there is a train station just a short walk away. The hotel is also close to tourist attractions such as the Royal Palace and the National Theatre. There is also a nearby stop for the hop-on-hop-off bus. All of the staff at the hotel were friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.

Good location to get to the sites of Oslo. Many restaurants in the area. Room is average and on the small side. Overall a good hotel in the heart of the city.

The room was as it was sold - basic, but if I compare to a budget hotel in the UK it could have provided a little more. Guests do need to be aware the small basic rooms are box rooms and you couldnt swing a cat in there. It was clean and the bathroom was nicely furnished. Overall I was happy and the price for Norway was good, but in the UK you would expect to pay around £80 per night for this.
