“Property is as described. It's dated but well cared for. The caretaker is great. PLEASE note. Last few kilometers of road are not paved...we had 4x4's was fine. Closest supermarket is a 40 minute - hour drive. Beach isn't the best for swimming but totally remote and private. We loved this place. ”

“Everything was dirty in the property, from the shower curtain full of black mold to coffee maker and fans. Streets are full of garbage outside, smell of sewages and garbage is everywhere. In the shower we found worms and spiders. They even did not have the cutesy of cleaning the dishes, we had to re-wash everything before use. It was horrible. We decided to leave for a hotel the last 5 days of our trip.”

Randal the owner is very responsive via What'sApp and the grounds keeper does his job without interfering with the guests enjoyment of the property. The pool man Alexander was beyond helpful even changing a tire for us when we discovered a flat. “We had a very relaxing and enjoyable 3 weeks at Casa Mango in Chacarita, Puntarenas in Feb 2025, we wanted a small local place to see wildlife , relax and enjoy the climate and culture that is Costa Rica.The small private home is located on an estuary and we enjoyed watching the tide changes ,it was interesting with all the different types of birds and local fishing boats .We spent a lot of time on the shaded porch , usually we had a nice breeze, reading and dining, and just watching the……

“The house was as described, which was fun to explore with our kids. The location was very convenient and it was easy to communicate with the host. It was a little challenging to do dishes for our large crew in the small sink, but we managed and enjoyed the adventure. ”
