“Stayed for 10 nights and found the house homely and welcoming.Not as far away from the Titirangi Village and Huia/Whatipu as we expected, but your own transport is recommended as the hosts stated. 100% score for location to some popular local walks.Some small improvements would enhance the experience:Check and repair the appliances: microwave display wasn’t working properly and toaster would jam the toast (which I repaired).Tidy up the outside, bit of an waterblast would do wonders and clean……

“I've never felt more welcomed anywhere! From the 'your room is ready!' message, to the 'how was your first night?' message, Liz went above and beyond to make me feel at home. The studio is very well organized, the bed is so comfortable and she has thought of everything you might need for a few nights' stay. The room looked exactly like the photos in all its quaint charm. “Great place for a family to stay. Excellent outdoor bbq area. Located 6 min drive from car ferry and 8 min drive from passenger ferry. It has a coffee machine, all necessary cutlery and dishes and pots if you eat in. Beds are comfy . “We had a wonderful stay at the Settlers Hut. The view from the deck is stunning! It had everything we needed and the added bonus of a complementary bottle of bubbles. A perfect relaxing stay. ”

“Car availabilty and spa both valuable. The outdoor stairs a little disconcerting at night and upon arrival, however the climb was worth it. Cottage beautifully clean and very well maintained. Thank you. ”

“This property and the hosts are phenomenal. We could not have asked for a better experience or a more comfortable cottage. It’s even nicer than the pictures! The neighborhood was quiet and the cottage had everything we needed to enjoy travels to New Zealand. We traveled from the States and found the location to be perfect for day trips to the city, Hamilton, Raglan, Waitomo (glow worm caves), Hobbiton, and surrounding areas. We highly recommend! ”
