“This is an unbelievable place. We have stayed in lots of different places across the world but you would do well to find a more relaxing, beautiful and unique place. The breakfasts were lovely, overlooking the valley. We loved the pool area too. The accomodation itself was spacious and had everything you needed. A special shout out to the staff too who make this such a special place. Definitely make sure you order a picnic too! Thank you for a great stay”

Please note that the only way to get there is by car and the most convenient option is to take advantage of the dinner offered. It should be noted that there is an opportunity to taste very good local wine on site.”

“This hotel is located right on the Douro, in a picturesque spot. There's a parking area right outside. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The hotel claims to be four star; it may have been once but it no longer is. The rooms are spartan. A 20" tv from the 2000s. No amenities whatsoever in the bathroom, which had a broken wall shower and between one and three lights randomly working, depending on I know what. I had to move furniture to find the only single wall outlet close to the bed.……

“This place and the staff here are AMAZING! I can’t say anything negative. REALLY! Stay here. And stay for two days longer than whatever you’re planning. And the breakfast across the street at the LaiLai restaurant… epic. It is not a lame hotel breakfast. It’s made to order. It’s got balcony seating overlooking the river. And the staff there are amazing too. Shout out to Rita, front desk and concierge at the hotel. She was amazing, responsive, and even rescued us from a failed uber attempt 30……

“The property is a green oasis in an urban setting. Plenty of space, overlooking the ancient City of Lamego. The hosts were super welcoming. The accommodation has lots of character.”

Beatriz was an absolute angel, from making reservations at recommended restaurants, to organising taxis, she often checked in on us to see if we needed anything.
