The staff was very friendly and accommodating, and the hotel is located in a safe area near restaurants and stores. The building is showing it's age, and a refresh is needed here and there. Our unit was clean, but showed wear and tear, particularly in the bathroom, which had a few areas of water damage. The king bed had a soft mattress which wasn't too bad, but the pillows were definitely on the hard side. It should also be mentioned that the bathroom towels were on size, too thin, and had a very rough texture. They all need to be replaced ASAP. My biggest complaint however was the free breakfast. The main offerings were small plain bagels, muffins, cold cereal, and yogurt. The only hot food was waffles, but the first time I made one, the waffle batter had soured, and tasted awful. It was better the next day, but I avoided it for the remainder of my stay. At least the coffee was very good, and the coffee maker was always full & worked beautifully. Finally, I thought the nightly rate, which averaged $116/night during my 6-day stay, was a bit high.
