PRO: Fantastic service. There wasn't any request, at any time of day, that wasn't fulfilled. Book your tours through them!
PRO: Restaurants are great. Firefly breakfast is great. The Plantation Club was one of the best restaurants-at-the-hotel I have ever been to. In-room dining service was also very nice, and prompt.
PRO: Room (Pool & Spa Pavilion) was beautiful. Bath big enough for two, lounge couch was HUGE (not split in the middle with a table like in virtual tour). Private pool is great and lounging bed on the terrace was very relaxing.
CON: Maintenance issues! 1) Issue with 1 of 2 zones for the air conditioning. They looked at it, said it was working even though 1 zone clearly wasn't (1 zone would cool to 18, the other only to 24). We used 1 zone to cool off the other by leaving door between bedroom and lounge open - worked fine, but annoyed they didn't recognize the problem. 2) We lost hot water on our fourth night there. They replaced the water heater over night, and the next day the water came out DIRTY (literally looked like a cup of coffee poured from the tap). Had to run the water for 90 min to clear out. They gave us a 5,000 baht ($165) credit towards our bill, which was something, but no hot water for a full day :(
CON: Many at reception speak very poor English. Asked to go to a market for souvenirs, sent us to a grocery store.
