The hotel itself was wonderful - clean, helpful staff, within walking distance of restaurants and downtown activities. The hotel restaurant was average. The food was ok but the menu was quite limited. The biggest problem we had was on the day we checked in. There was construction going on around the hotel, making it hard to navigate. I had to double park my car and run in to check in. Upon check-in I was told the hotel parking lot was full. I had to park in a structure across the street. Due to the construction I had to drive around the block to get to it. It was down a small hill from the hotel and the exit was on the opposite side of the hotel entrance so I had to schlep uphill for about a block and a half with my luggage. That made the whole check-in process pretty miserable.

While overall our stay was good. The very first two interactions with staff wasn’t very pleasant. The valet we came in contact with upon arriving wasn’t very friendly. And the man at the front desk when checking in was very very unpleasant. When the young ladies I had with me asked for a cookie he acted like it was a complete disservice for him to have to get them one. All guests before us was offered one but we had to ask and then was treated like we were acting for something that was completely outrageous. The property was nice. Loved the location lots to see and do. I was a little put off but not being able to close the curtains in the room to block out all the lights at night.

Staff was snarky and unhelpful from check-In. They acted like we were bothering them and they were doing us a favor. My room cost nearly $300 and not one staff member was even nice to us. The gym looked nice in the brochure but almost nothing worked. The treadmills were barely working and seemed unsafe. The parking situation was awful. We literally had a hard time even finding the parking area. Room service trays were left out in the hallway for over a day. Unacceptable!!We will not be returning.

Our parking situation was a disaster the weekend we were in town - the garage was full and we had to find another space in the city. Also our sleep sofa had no linens provided in the room. Our room smelled like weed. Overall a disappointment.
