We loved our stay at Casa Del Mar! There really is nothing like it in the area which we loved. All rooms are modern and designed very nicely. Good layout too. The bathroom is especially modern, clean, and a good size for a smaller room. Very easy to check in! The woman at the front of the motel was so nice. Huge bonus is that it is located Basically right across from the manasquan inlet, so great water views are right outside your door. We have no complaints, we will be back!
The location is good and the room is clean. For a room at this cost I was surprised that early check-in was an additional $50. Also the cancellation policy is really strange. You need to cancel a week before (even in the off season) to get full refund. Within a week you are charged for the first night but neither the website nor the manager could give me a clear answer on how to avoid being charged for all the other nights as well.
Rooms are nicely furnished but the light outside the room is timed to go on every three minutes, and the blinds do very little to block this light.
Lastly, be aware that this is a very small place, with only 9-10 rooms, most of them right next to the parking lot. The whole lot is about the size of a gas station.
I had a wonderful stay at Casa del Mar! It is in a perfect location, within walking distance to a few restaurants and the beach. The room was very clean and modern and the staff were incredibly friendly. The café on site is also so cute, with excellent coffee and muffins. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone!

The hotel itself was nice - except that the mirror hanging over the bed was attached by basically a thumb nail.
It fell on my husband's head while he was in bed.
I told the staff about this and I was surprised at how dismissive they were. I didn't dramatize the event because my husband didn't have to go to the hospital or anything- but he did have a headache for the rest of the day. I would've thought the staff would've expressed more genuine regrets for his experience. Or offered some sort of discount. Even just a free coffee or something! P.S.the mirror had spokes on them which were all covered in dust - so when it fell, both me and my husband were dust bombed. My eyes and nose are still itching!
