Even though outdated in some ways, it was comfortable and spacious. Heavier curtains would make a big improvement; streetlights and lights from neighboring business meant the room was never really dark. Conversely, after dark but before sleep, the lamps in the room didn't provide quite enough light. The furniture piled outside and the fact that the rooms were a few doors down from the check-in office gave an "abandoned building" vibe. Maybe you are in the midst of remodeling, in which case it will probably be very nice in a few months. In the meantime, cleaning up the outside of the building would create a much more welcoming impression.
