“My husband and I needed to disconnect from our busy lives. Coming down to the Shawnee area turned out to be the best choice, and this cabin played a large part in that! On the exterior, the cabin is well-seasoned now, showing a history of nature rightfully integrating into the wood. The interior is as cozy as it looks! “We liked everything. You have to rent this place to read what I wrote in the visitor log. I do have one complaint. Dave and Jan can never be partners again in cards. Sheri and I lost every game. Oh, Thanks for providing games, puzzles, and (I guess) cards.”

“We were in town for kiddos graduation at SIU and this property is way better than a hotel. Just 25 minutes or so away from campus and a hop skip and a jump from Blue Sky winery, this hidden gem awaits you. Perfect cabin for a quiet getaway. There were a couple of dips in driveway due to erosion that made it difficult for our low clearance car to get through but we managed and owner was very helpful. “The cabin was absolutely beautiful. It looked just like the pictures. The property outside was well maintained. The inside was so clean and everything we used for cooking was easy to find. The bathroom was stocked with toilet paper, hand soap, shampoo, conditioner, body was, and even dog soap. The Internet connection was great and the tv was easy to work.
