It was charming, quiet, roomy for us, and functional for our needs. The host was very friendly and kind and helpful. We appreciated the gifts of food (fresh tangerines!). Unfortunately, the unit we were booked for was under renovation, so we stayed in a unit attached to the house. Ideal zum Ausspannen. Zum Meer sind es ca. 5-10 Autominuten. Theodoros ist ein sehr aufmerksamer, unkomplizierter Gastgeber, der sehr hilfsbereit und liebeswürdig ist. Wir nahmen an einer Tour zu einem nahegelegenem Kloster und anschließend zu seinen Weinbergen teil. Wir durften dabei einiges über Land, Kirche und natürlich die Griechen lernen. Die von Weltoffenheit und Liebe zur Natur geprägte Lebensphilosophie der Familie Theodoropoulos spiegelt sich in diesem Hain von Frieden und ökologischer Kulturlandschaft wieder. Wir haben die Zeit im wunderbaren Haus Exochiko genutzt, um abseits vom Alltagstempo zu unserem Mittelpunkt zu finden. Und wir sind wahrlich keine esoterisch verklärten Menschen, sondern Zeitgenossen, die durchaus auch die Hektik einer Großstadt im Urlaub genießen. Trotzdem empfanden wir unsere Zeit hier als Geschenk, für das wir uns bei Theodoros herzlich bedanken. Das Haus ist im Topzustand und in der nahen Umgebung gibt es viele kleine Läden und Supermärkte. Auch unsere Töchter fühlten sich auf der Anlage sehr wohl und konnten ungefährdet auf der Anlage spielen. Ein Babybett wurde uns von Herrn Theodoropoulos freundlicherweise zur Verfügung gestellt. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, sodass man nicht immer gezwungen ist, essen zu gehen. Aber auch das ist kein Problem, da es in der Umgebung zahlreiche gute Tavernen gibt. Die Strände unweit des Ferienhauses sind wunderschön, das Wasser klar und feinsandig. Mit den zur Verfügung gestellten Rädern kann man auch ohne Mietwagen auskommen. Zudem verkauft Herr Theodoropoulos exzellentes Olivenöl, Wein und auch andere hochwertige Produkte aus biologischem Anbau. Da der Gastgeber deutsch spricht, konnten wir auch viel über Land und Leute erfahren, was ohne griechische Sprachkenntnisse nicht ohne Weiteres möglich gewesen wäre. Herr Theodoropoulos hat zahlreiche Empfehlungen für jeden Geschmack und kümmert sich hervorragend um seine Gäste. Einziger Wermutstropfen sind die kleffenden Hunde in der Nacht und die Qualität der Matratzen, die nicht zu der ansonsten sehr hochwertigen Ausstattung der Wohnung passen. Bereits bei der Anreise war der Kühlschrank mit Melone, Tomaten und Getränke gefüllt. Auch die Begrüßung und kurze Einweisung war trotz der späten Anreise top. Vielen Dank auch an den guten Geist des Hauses Beate. Sie war immer mit hilfreichen Tips zur Stelle. Auch der Begrüßungskorb von unserem Gastgeber Nikos war top. Auch der Besuch in seinem Heimatdorf mit Besichtigung des Hofes Theoderopoulos war interessant und lehrreich. Den schönen Abend rundete ein Besuch in der Dorftaverne ab. Ein rundum sehr schöner und interessanter Urlaub. Wir haben uns bestens erholt in der schönen Ferienwohnung, genossen die fantastisch große Terrasse mit Blick zum Meer, am Rande eines gepflegten Gartens mit Zitronen- und Olivenbäumen. Für uns war die Wohnung auch idealer Ausgangspunkt für Touren nach Katakolo, Olympia, Andritsena, Vassae, Phigalia, Patras.... Sehr gastfreundlich empfing uns der Vermieter, hatte tolle Ausflugstipps, und unvergesslich natürlich die kleine Wanderung, bei der wir viel über Land und Leute, Landwirtschaft, Weinbau und biologischen Anbau von Rosinen, Oliven und Wein erfuhren.
