The location and staff get five stars from us. The staff were very responsive and very nice and helpful. We were a little disappointed with the room. The construction of the building does not allow for good sound isolation. You hear above and beside you. Could use better furniture to sit on. The bathroom needs a complete refresh (at least the room were in). The soap and shampoo do offer any suds when applied.

We chose Relais Orso at the last minute, because the place we were planning on nearby didn't work out. We knew rhat the Relais chain is a good one so we booked it. We were glad that we did. The hotel was very nice. The staff was exceptional.

Relais Orso is a true 4-star boutique hotel located in a 17th-century townhouse in the heart of Rome's historic center, just a short walk from Piazza Navona and a 20 - 35 minute walk to all of the key historic areas. Very clean smaller rooms with a great very helpful staff.

Super hotel and location. Staff was amazing. Huge BUT: There is no parking!! We specifically chose this property for the parking that was noted on the property description but the closest parking garage was a 15 min walk in 97F with luggage. The cost of that public parking garage is €38 per 24 hours.

We tourists tend to romanticize our expectations when we book a hotel in advance. The booking process with pretty pictures makes places look better than they really are and this is to be expected. You have to remember that this hotel building is hundreds of years old. Therefore, you can expect all kinds of small little issues that don’t match your expectations. You also have to remember that it is in an excellent location, which accounts for more than half the price. Everything in Rome, because of the extremely heavy tourist traffic, is overpriced. This hotel should be thought of as a three star hotel, not a four star hotel overall. The staff do their best. There is no breakfast. The Air Conditioning barely keeps up with severe heat of August. Otherwise, the room was generally quite adequate. I would suggest to the owner, that they should increase the price of the rooms and do a major modern update and renovation. The building needs investment, otherwise it will just slowly run downhill. The location is truly the best advantage of this hotel. It could be a whole lot better with some new investment. Thank you. I offer my comments with respect.
