“We booked two rooms at this property only to be told upon arrival that they had misread the booking and only were in a position to give us one room, this was due to the fact they had just sold the other room, good way of making extra money. We did ask the hotel for a return on the other rooms cost but they declined and laughed saying well at least we have one room for you. Would never use this hotel again and would advise Hotels.com to remove it from their site.”

“We had an early departure and needed to get a cup of coffee and roll at 7:30 am. Only a full breakfast was available, as the cafe was not yet open. The host at the restaurant made an exemption for us to just get coffee . . . so that was OK, but would have liked just a simple cafe experience.”

“The Radison Blu was a very upscale hotel sitting right on the River Shannon in Atlone. A short walk across bridge to Castle & old town. The room was quiet, clean & well appointed . We appreciated them being able to allow us early check in. The Double overlooking the River was quite large & the bathroom very updated. While it is supposed to have air conditioning, it is controlled centrally and only turned on at the facility discretion. Our room was quite warm & when I called about it, I was……

“It was beautiful property and a great find as we made our way from Galway to Dublin. Serene, calm, family friendly and something for everyone. We only stayed a night, but it would be a great escape for a longer period of time.”
