“Check in and locating the house we’re really easy with great arrival information from the owner. The house had everything we needed with lots of space. We were very comfortable and the private space to park at the top of the village was a great help. A fantastic location in the village.”

“Great location for sure, and this is a wonderful location. But… the house was for sale and I wonder if this has impacted some of the cleaning (cobwebs, filthy microwave and rusting knives). The biggest issue was construction going on next door and not being made aware this was taking place in advance (otherwise we would have cancelled). Lots of scaffold over windows, and banging/music going on - this would have been in place for several days/weeks. Stayed here before and love this place but this...

“AVOID AT ALL COSTS Overall a really horrible stay. From dirty linen to really poor communication it was not a great stay. I definitely do NOT recommend. Holes on the wall, damaged furniture, a dirty sock on the floor, beds not made, smoking alarm coming off the ceiling, dirty linen, no toilet paper… Contact with the host as also been appalling. Been trying to resolve this situation and still waiting on a solution so AVOID! ”

“Cottage was ok but after booking through hotels.com I was contacted by Host & Stay and advised I had to pay an additional fee for a damage waiver. Alternatively I could pay a deposit but they take an admin fee so you don’t get the full amount back plus they state they may take 14 days to refund.”

“Great weekend in a beautiful place, plenty of space for us all to be and each bedroom very comfortable. Easy access for taking a walk on the cliffs to saltburn which a few of the group attempted! All in all a great property that was clean and spacious and good for large groups.”

“A beautifully appointed house, which was cosy and inviting. The accommodation served my purpose being conveniently located to explore the Yorkshire Coast from Flamborough Head to Redcar. I can fully recommend staying here, and there was easy communication with the owners - Anthony and Jane. There was a lovely welcoming array of goodies on the dining table, which was very thoughtful! ”

“Cosy clean cottage with everything you need. Lovely village and some nice walks. Lovely and cool inside during the hot weather. The only downside was i thought from the photos that the garden was fully enclosed but there was a big hole in the wall leading onto the road which meant we couldn’t let our two small dogs loose, however we did mange to temporarily block it up with garden items for our stay! It’s also worth noting that the neighbour shares access through the garden which we didn’t...

“Had a lovely few days in Windsor Cottage. Property was as described and ideally located next to a convenience store. Just a short walk to the beach and all the amenity that Saltburn has to offer. Highly recommend.”

“Lovely house in great location - had everything you needed in the kitchen and property even including a colection of crabbing buckets and nets that the children loved. Staithes itself is beautiful and a real hidden gem - the house could not be in a more central location. ”

“A spacious, well equipped house just five minutes from the beach and shops and cafes. Ideal for families and groups of friends. Comfortable, warm with an excellent range if equipment. Good hot. Large smart TV. Easy parking outside .showers”

“Newly refurbished to high standard. Being a 3 storey cottage space can be an issue and open plan steep stairs may be a problem for some. Location excellent. Would return.”

“Good spaces and cosy...all good...just a bit noisy pass by at night if window is open.”

“Communication with the host, Janette, was excellent. We arrived and the home was immaculate, beautifully decorated and the welcome hamper , was amazing. The location was perfect, really close to the beach. We all loved Saltburn and would highly Recommend the house. Thank you for a great break away. X ”
