no wifi at all. tried different time of a day, no matter how strong the signal seems to be, you just cannot connect to it, or cannot open any webpage

Power outage at my house

Staff is terrible!

We booked this place because we were told by Expedia on the phone and we confirmed with the hotel by phone that there would be a free shuttle for us at the airport at 6 am and that we could leave our car at the hotel for a few days for free. They both confirmed that we can count on it, but when we arrive late in the evening at the hotel we were told that it may be a problem and the guy had to check on it and will call us back in 15 minutes. He never called. There was no shuttle! We had to use our car and drive to the airport and find parking there early in the morning. We called Expedia that same night and complained. They said that there was a miscommunication and that we would get a fifty dollar discount on another Expedia booking and that they will sent us a coupon by mail. We never got a coupon from them either. Very disappointing! The staff obviously doesn't know what they are talking about.

Pros: Excellent service.
Location: Tough place to be, but an oasis in the desert. Was able to send out for food....excellent food, and delivered to our door.
Everything was as it should be: great service, clean, not expensive.

Dirty and Greedy

Cons: Everything! Get a maid service that works. And an owner that isn't so greedy.
First room i was given had trash on the floor and smelled like a skunk ate rotten eggs. I demanded a new room. The second room was cleaner but still not great. Gave 24 hour notice that i would be cutting 2 days off my booking. Hotel refused to refund me both nights. Would only refund one night. Never staying there or having any of my employees staying there ever again! Rather just go to a motel 6, they have higher standards and are cheaper.

Awful, just plan awful.

By far the worst one night stay ever had at a hotel. Where to begin, the police were there when I checked in at 4pm, there when I checked out at 11am. The room was pleasant, except for ants in the bath room and in the bed, slept on top of covers with clothes on. The electricity in the room went out twice. Before bed, staff came both times, hit the breaker's, then in a.m. went out twice, staff hit breakers it came back once on second outage they couldn't get it back on, at that point just left. First time at that chain will never stay at any other location. It was totally ghetto and still was 99 dollars a night. Would rather have slept in car for the night

Pros: I will say the room was clean, with new TV, mini-fridge and microwave.
Cons: See first comment - fix all.
Location: Indian (So. Asian)/Chinese/Some Filipino immigrant community with many Indian restaurants in walking distance. Lots to do in San Jose, which is close
Suicide-inducing, completely bare bones hotel room. 20 year old, beat up furniture. 1 chair in the room, for the desk - no guest chair. Frayed sheets on the bed. Returned early (2:00 PM), one day and the room was not made up - had to call to get that done. This is not the maids’ fault, management too cheap to hire sufficient staff. Clientele: Lots of building trades. One night, some of them got drunk; shoving/shouting match at midnight for 15 minutes with some other guest yelling at them to shut-up – management did nothing. Next night: 6 Milpitas cops execute an arrest warrant on some other guest two doors down. Night Three - Some guy pulls into the parking lot at 4:00 AM, high or drunk, singing Bob Marley's "Buffalo Soldier" at the top of his lungs - stomps past my room talking to himself: "THAT'S the way we do it in New York!" Don’t stay here – savings not worth it.

Low Cost Motel in JSC

Pros: Comfortable bed, relatively clean, basic amenities (Motel 6 doesn't have free WiFi)
Cons: Electronic door locks take many tries to recognize keys, unsafe "guests" need a security guard to quiet them down, no elevator for three floors
Location: Shopping and Black Bear Cafe within walking distance
Not a pleasant place to stay. Rooms are mostly clean, new carpet, fresh paint, basic amenities (free WiFi, refrig, microwave, flatscreen TV) but no elevator, and clientele borders on dangerous. If you want to leave home to have domestic disputes, this is a great place to have them. This is the second bad experience I've had with America's Best Value Inn chain, won't stay in one again.

A lot of people smoking in the premises. Some smoking in their rooms and I'm not even talking about cigarettes. If you know what I mean.
