“Ein Stern ist selbst zu viel!!! Achtung - Betrug!!! Das Boot was angeboten wird gibt es zwar aber wird ausschließlich bei booking angeboten. Wir standen vor nichts in Zaandam und mussten erst da hin fahren von Expedia aus bis wir Ersatz bekommen haben. Da hatten wir bereits 25,-€ Bahngeld bezahlt, was Expedia nicht interessiert hat. Wir hatten einen Tag vorher gelesen das es an dem Standort nicht existiert und am Anreisetag sofort Expedia kontaktiert. Die Kommunikation hat gut geklappt, nur……

“Make sure you go with someone who is open to experiencing a boat and doesn’t complain much. Other than this I loved the boat! The property owner was kind and very helpful. It is not too far from the center, 15-20min scenic walk to center. Was nice to go back to a quiet place after being in the crowded center. “I cannot recommend this listing enough. They thought of everything you could want inside the house, the location is fantastic and the communication was seamless. You should definitely rent the Captains Cabin if you are even partially thinking about it. Just do it!”

“The good: My friends & I are from the US and had never been to Amsterdam. My sister (who has lived in the area for 2yrs) suggested a houseboat would be a fun adventure. And she was right! It was more expensive than a hotel, but it had plenty of space for the 3 of us (with room to spare - we could have easily fit 2-3 more people) and it offered a safe, quiet, and comfortable retreat after each day of SO many steps (and sometimes rain). “We certainly enjoyed our stay at the houseboat. Monnickendam is a cute little town with a nice market, shops and restaurants. Just a 10 minutes walk to the bus stop into Amsterdam - very convenient. On the houseboat you find everything you need. Perfect spot in the evening is on the rooftop. Our host provided us with a very warm welcome. Communication was easy and very pleasant. Getting used to the dry toilet is a little challenge - there are „normal“ toilets in the main building.”

“Beautiful houseboat in the charming village of Monnickedam. Clean and confortable for a family of 4 - it has everything we needed. Roof deck not pictured to enjoy the sunsets, and a outside table in the front. Close to town, it's an easy walk to restaurants and maybe 20 mins to the grocery store. Easy communication with the host. One small detail, the location in the marina is different than the picture, the houseboat has close neighbourghs but it wasn't a problem. We had a great time!”

“This was an incredible end to our trip. The town is so quaint and adorable with so many friendly people. The houseboat was gorgeous, clean and beautifully decorated. The sauna was perfect since the weather was a little chill but exactly what you’d expect for the end of December. The host was very friendly and helpful. It was an amazing experience!”

"Overall, I had a great stay. The design of the hotel was stylish and thoughtfully curated—modern, with a sophisticated color palette that I really loved. The only downside was the noise from the room above. Every late night and early morning, I could clearly hear footsteps overhead, and even the ceiling light fixture in my room would rattle with a metallic or glass-clinking sound. It was quite unsettling and affected my rest. If the sound insulation between floors could be improved, it would make the experience so much better. That said, the aesthetic of the space was beautiful, and I truly appreciated the hotel’s unique and elevated design.

"I really love this hotel! It’s very eco-friendly, comfortable, and smells great. The design is so stylish, and I truly enjoy everything about it.
The only thing that really bothered me was the occasional light knocking sound on the walls throughout the day. It especially affected my sleep at night.
Also, the pillows were too soft for my preference.
If I have the chance, I’d love to stay here again, but I hope the knocking sound won’t happen next time.
