There was no toilet paper in the bathroom, had to go to the office and track some down. Coffee maker had old coffee grounds in it basket. Spider webs in the corners of the bedrooms. Not sure the place gets cleaned before new guests arrive. Yuck.

staff was excellent and super helpful. Room was small. hot water ran out quickly. sink wasn’t draining properly. I guess this is very common for properties here. We did get good sleep on our way to Camp Flattery which has fantastic views after a small hike. Sunset was fantastic at Calum Bay…1 mile from the hotel. Cafe is 2 doors down.

Very basic accommodation but the price was right. Clean and comfortable but absolutely no frills. Staff friendly. Fairly close to amazing beaches in Olympia Nat’l Park.

To say the owners were hostile would be an understatement. There was a misunderstanding between the desk clerk and Expedia - I had a reservation for 2 rooms in my name and Expedia made it under 2 names, without my knowledge. I showed the clerk my reservation and we verified the reservation/booking number. When the desk clerk couldn't find the 2nd reservation/room booking he summoned the owner. The clerk and I had a brief friendly chat. The owner stormed in, began yelling at me that I had NO reservation with them, I had ONE reservation with Expedia, yelled more at me - l before I said a single word to him. Tempers flared and I was told to get off the property. Standing by my car while trying to reach Expedia, the owner told me he would not honor the single room reservation, yelled that nobody else had any space so we should go home, and that if I didn't move my car immediately he would call the sheriff. At no time did any of the staff try to solve the problem. Expedia finally sorted out the problem with the resort but refused to help us find any other place. Being late at night and with no alternatives within 3.5 hrs, we opted to stay. The owner immediately yelled again about not telling them the 2 rooms were booked under separate names. As we passed the owner's son, desk clerk, and others outside they laughed and directed the N-word and F-word (racial & homophobic slurs) at us (one is Black). Also, fire code violations are huge - in a fire it could be a deathtrap.

Simple, clean and as advertised. Felt like I was staying in an Alaskan fishing village. Bald eagles everywhere. By the bay cafe within walking distance.

Standard motel amenities, but very clean & convenient. All the satff were friendly and helpful. The location is unbeatable... prime fishing location during the season & quiet and quaint the rest of the time. The cafe less than a block away is great, too. Would absolutely recommend!

This was my favorite place on our 2 week road trip! It had all that we needed and more. We stayed 2 nights, and I would definitely stay here again! No complaints about the property itself. The 2 restaurants in the area were both fabulous, and the quaint atmosphere of Sekiu, a fishing harbor, was awesome! My only complaint is the wording used in 2 messages we had received from the property one and two days before arriving. Both messages stated that our “card was unable to be processed”, and a link was provided to pay the property directly. The first message stated “This is the error: Your card does not support this type of purchase.” A day later.. “This is the error: Your card's security code is invalid.” We had already booked/paid for our room through Expedia. Upon calling the property I was told that the problem was that Expedia was not “releasing the money” to them. The day of our arrival we received a 3rd message that all was good, thank goodness, or we would have been asked to pay again directly to the property. My frustration with this is the sneaky approach to get payment from us by using wording that falsely blamed our card for the problem, when it was really an issue between Expedia and Curley’s. We book all our hotels through Expedia, and this has NEVER happened before.

The village was amazing. The property didn't have proper seats, smelled of mold (the windows were open when we arrived), the lock was flimsy, and it needs a deep cleaning. Our shower was also broken.
