Bye Bye Buoy
Perched up above the Sekiu marina. Views of the Straight of Juan De Fuca are everywhere; the wrap-around porch, the living room, the dining room, the kitchen windows, the primary bedroom, and the bathroom. Even a breathtaking view while soaking in the hot tub.
Details that went into creating this home I did with love and attention to detail in hopes you truly enjoy your getaway. It is well stocked with all the necessities one could need. I even tried to think of the things you may not know you need. Like the light-up vanity/make-up mirrors in the primary bathroom that defrost and show the current temp. The toilet lids, garbage cans, cabinets, cupboards, and drawers are easy to close. The vast lighting all over the home. There’s a fun strobe light over the hot tub and LED hot-tub lighting. The wrap-around porch is very well-lit. It can be seen anywhere in Sekiu when the lights are on at night. There is an extra large dog crate in the primary room for those who bring an approved service pet. Ceiling fans, as well as box fans. They all help with that late-night white noise, or breeze one may prefer. There’s a digital photo frame in the living room showcasing past trips of friends that have stayed here and adventured nearby. There’s an info book on the kitchen island that is helpful. We have suggestions of things to do, places to eat, and even an updated copy of fishing regs and tidal charts.
The kitchen is stocked with plenty of dishware, cookware, and utensils. Several small appliances like a coffee pot, blender, toaster, and air fryer. A great variety of seasonings and basic cooking needs as well. All updated appliances. The kitchen stove is WiFi.
There's a washer and dryer with extra towels and detergent in the upstairs closet.
We have WiFi. Everyone can have all their gadgets for downtime. Three big TVs. One in the living room, one in the primary, and one downstairs in the 'game' room. We have a handful of different apps included on smart TVs.
Pool table... There are some board games, color books, and a start to a little library collection. A computer, scanner/printer combo, just in case you have some unfinished work/school to tend to. There's a telescope to stargaze on clear nights. Binoculars to bird watch and maybe catch a whale, sea lion, or eagle in passing.
Bathrooms come well stocked with plenty of towels and small complimentary soaps and shampoos. The toilet paper holder has a little compartment stocked with feminine hygiene products in each bathroom in case of emergency. Also, a great place to set down your phone. The primary bathroom has a shower and separate soaking garden tub with double vanity. There are three bathrooms in this home. Each bathroom has a little squatty potty, as the toilets are a little on the taller side, which is great for those that need a taller setting.
The bedrooms are nice and cozy. Soft mattresses, and soft pillows. Each of the rooms has closet space with coat hangers to hang clothing.
Outside there is a covered hot tub. It has lights, cupholders, and bluetooth speakers. There are two BBQ grills in the yard, a fire pit/firewood, lounge chairs, and patio chairs.
The home looks and feels very modern/boho. It's decorated for the location and has an airy, positive vibe.
There is an extra bed tucked away in the closet in one of the lower level bedrooms, and the downstairs sofa can be made a bed, with blankets stored in it.
Lastly, RV parking, hookups, and plenty of boat parking.
Things nearby: There's an airport across the street from the house. Planes landing and taking off are a lot of fun to watch. They go right over the house.
There are a few restaurants and shops in Sekiu and Clallam. Very small selections. Best to stock up on things you need in Port Angela's or Forks, depending on which way you're coming from.
There is so much outdoor recreation to do. Fishing, boating (the house sits just above the marina), hiking, beach combing, surfing, whale watching, shopping, etc. Olympic National Park is at your fingertips, SolDuc Falls, Hurricane Ridge, Hall of Mosses, Ruby Beach, Kalaloch...
Port Angela's is about an hour away. Lots to do there, be it the aquarium, restaurant hop, or shop... head up to Hurricane Ridge and take in the amazing landscape and impressive views. Sequim also has a lot of options, like lavender farms and the Olympic Game Farm. The Dungeness Spit is a fave, as well as Port Townsend the historic town, shops, and fun eateries, are always a lot of fun. There are a ton of rumored haunted buildings and old architecture. The movie An Officer and a Gentleman was shot at Fort Warden State Park. Lots of history there and at Fort Flager. Not to mention Twilight, a favorite for the area filmed in Forks. You can even catch a whale-watching boat that takes you to the San Juans. Lake Cresent and Lake Ozzett are amazing for kayaking and paddleboarding. We love Mount Storm King for a hard hike, as well as Marymere Falls for a more low-key hike, or Devils Punchbowl, a great swimming spot in the summer, also a pretty low-key hike. LaPush, Second Beach, Rialto Beach, and Shi Shi Beach are great for combing and some beach camping. Go south to Ruby Beach and Kalaloch for tide pools and the Tree Of Life. Not to mention Neah Bay. Sooooo many options. Surely you could be at this house for a week easily and still barely scratch the surface of this amazing NW Washington tip. Especially with Victoria just a short ferry ride away. I could be here all day suggesting places to see and things to do.
Come stretch your legs and see places you haven't seen before while staying somewhere amazing.
No smoking inside the home and only service animals are allowed.
