“At $350/night, this hotel was very disappointing. We arrived soaking wet after getting caught in a storm on our boat and it was 4pm “check in” time, so we were excited to get dried off and changed i to dry clothes. Even though he could clearly see we were soaking wet, the male clerk on the desk casually said our room would be at least 20 minutes before it would be ready and waved towards a cooler and said “you can have one cold drink on me”. “The suite is old, and so may not appeal to everyone. It doesn't have AC so could be a hot box in summer, but there are plenty of fans and lots of open windows. There is lovely, tiny balcony off the kitchen, facing the back garden. I stayed for just one evening and was quite comfortable. The place suited me perfectly. “The Motel 6 is ideal for a budget traveler like myself. It offers good-sized rooms with large bathrooms and ample storage space. The Wi-Fi was reliable and very solid. The staff were great! The location is in the east end of Peterborough but is on the main drag, Lansdowne Street. Hang a left out of the parking lot and within five minutes you have a choice of two shopping malls, every type of food you crave and easy access to Ottawa or Toronto. “We had so much fun at this resort. The cabin was perfect and everything was clean and exactly what we expected. The outdoor table and set up was so nice to be able to watch kids play either at the park or the beach, and also just enjoy a morning coffee. We used the boats and kayaks and games room too. Only thing was you have to park at the main area and carry items to your cabin but it’s not far. Would definitely recommend to other families. We will be back!”
