Mother's Dream Fishin' Hole: Free Attraction Tickets, 2 King Suites, Firepit, & Pond Views

Traveling with little ones can be challenging -- but we make it easier! Our home is on 2 wooded acres, & has a peaceful pond with a fishing house. We offer a boat with paddles to explore the pond, fishing poles & tackle...no licenses required! We are close to everything fun in the Smokies! 2 King suites, 2 bunk rooms, 4 outdoor living spaces, a playground, basketball hoop, fire ring overlooking the pond, pool table, huge gourmet kitchen, games, DVD's, TONS of baby gear, lots more!!

Our home is at the end of a cul-de-sac in a very quiet, serene little subdivision. We are close to all the tourist attractions, but out of the tourist hustle and craziness! A mellow, paved drive leads to our 2 story, spacious home, where the front porch invites you to sit a while. The front yard has a large playground with a swingset/fort, separate playhouse, geodesic climbing dome, saucer swing, climbing rope, and lots of room to run. The side porch has padded recliners for parents to relax and keep an eye on the kids, and the bbq grill.

Inside, you are greeted by a huge open concept gourmet kitchen and dining room. We are foodies and take cooking seriously...this is a fully equipped kitchen in a way you probably haven't seen before in a rental! There is plenty of silverware, table ware, pots, pans, kitchen tools, kitchen machines, 3 convection ovens, 5 workspaces, 2 cooktops, a spare freezer, and every convenience you could wish for! We also provide all ziplocs/food wrap, foil that you need, a FULL spice assortment, baking basics, oil, popcorn for the hot air popper, etc.

The dining table seats 10 comfortably, and there is a kid's table and chairs for little ones in the living room that can be moved into the dining room so all can enjoy a meal together. We decorate the dining room for every holiday with festive garlands, tableware, and table decor, so you can have effortless special occasion meals here.
The living room has a propane fireplace, lots of comfy seating, a pool table, a foosball table, kid's table, and a door that leads out to the side deck.

There is a half bath accessible to all the living space.

The downstairs king suite features a king bed, large flat screen HD TV, sitting area, and it's own tiled en-suite bathroom. There is also a portable crib (NOT a pack and play, but a small crib on wheels with a comfy soft real mattress) that can fit in this bathroom, with a darkening shade for the window in there, to sleep an infant in the suite.

We have built-in (but optional) baby gates at the top and bottom of the stairs. Upstairs there is a full laundry with front loading washer and dryer on a pedestal, ironing board and iron, sink, and all laundry supplies are provided.

The first kid's bedroom upstairs is the "game zone" with a bunk bed with trundle, many bean bags, a big flat screen TV, a retro game system with controllers, and a kid's DVD collection of over 200, along with 2 portable DVD players for kids who don't like what's being played, so that everyone is happy. In the closet there is a prodigious game collection, for game nights par excellence!

In the next room, there are two bunk beds, one with deep storage drawers beneath it. There is also a play tepee, a kid's book collection and some games as well.
The hall bath serves the kid's rooms, and has a full tub/shower. We provide kid's shampoo, bubble bath, and tub toys.

At the end of the hall is the upstairs king suite, with a spacious king bed, gas fireplace, and seating area, flat screen TV, and en suite bathroom. The bath has dual sinks, huge walk-in tiled shower, and toilet compartment.
Next to the king bedroom is a dual purpose room -- a dedicated workspace overlooking the pond, and a space devoted to providing all the "parentphenalia" that we all rely on to make taking care of our little ones easier...it's here, so you don't have to haul it with you, or do without it! Swings, baby baths, gyms, activity centers, toys, pregnancy pillows, boppy nursing pillows, diaper genie...you name it, it's probably in there!

And in the king bedroom walk-in closet is the Nap Nook -- in the back half of the closet there is a full size crib with a nice, thick mattress, a changing table, and a comfy glider, along with a white noise machine, a baby monitor, and a dimmer switch on the lights, to make naps a reality, even on vacation!
The house is baby-proofed to a great degree, and we believe that it will make vacationing with little ones much more fun.

There is a pathway down to the fire ring, which overlooks the pond, with 2 separate benches made from a cedar tree that fell in our own woods, which we split and mounted to allow places to enjoy the view of the pond. You have access to our little boat "The Grey Heron", named for birds which often visit our pond, and it has paddles to navigate the acre wooded pond, as well as an anchor if you want to fish in the middle of the pond. There is a locker full of life vests of all sizes...please don't go in the boat without one! The fire ring has adirondack chairs for adults as well as little people, and we offer a stash of cured firewood to enjoy a fire there...kindling can easily be gathered in the woods, so you can enjoy a fire on the bank of the pond...and some s'mores.

The fishing house is at the end of the pathway. It has a mini-fridge, a ceiling fan, electricity, and stools, and makes a great place to fish, feed the fish (we provide daily baggies of floating fish food for you to enjoy watching the bluegill feasting on it), or have a picnic with the 2 picnic baskets that you'll find on the living room shelves. Young, athletic people may want to return to the house the direct way -- up the hill by the green knotted rope guide, but that's a workout, be warned!

At the back of the house is a long covered porch which looks out on mountains, woods, and the pond. One one side, there is an outdoor eating table with 4 chairs, there is an outdoor games storage tub and cornholes, horseshoes, etc. in there, as well as the basketballs for the hoop on the side of the driveway by the house. On the right side there is a circle of 4 swivel rockers with nice thick pads, lots of tables to set you beverage on, and there's mood lighting on both sides that can be turned on at night to give you ambiance. There's also another little playhouse at the base of the house with little chairs in it, that kids may enjoy. We hope that our house supports you making lots of good memories with the people who are important to you!!

ABSOLUTELY NO SMOKING: This property is NON-SMOKING and the property owner is highly allergic. If guests are caught smoking in the property, we will charge the card on file a fee of $200.

Special Dates: Out of respect for the holidays and our employees, we do NOT allow ANY check in or outs on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Years Eve, and New Years Day.

Cancellation Policy: $50 Fee
Before 30 days - Full refund minus $50 cancellation fee
Within 30 days - whatever dates we can rebook, is the amount that we will refund back (-$50). Example: if you had 5 nights & we rebooked 4 nights = you will be refunded 4 nights + tax + cleaning fee + damage fee + Bear Tootin fee($25)
Check-In: 4pm - there is NO check-in office, you go straight to the property. Once all your payments have been made, we will send you an email with the door code & check-in information.

Roads:The roads are well-paved, featuring smooth two lanes suitable for both motorcycles and vehicles. They include gentle curves that add a bit of charm. Conveniently located just 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge and 20 minutes from Gatlinburg, these routes are easily accessible and enjoyable for a leisurely drive.

Local Fun: Our area has so many fun and entertaining attractions for all ages. Start with adventure when you ride coasters at Dollywood, win a game of putt-putt golf, race go-karts, splash at waterparks, mine for gems, visit museums, and oh-so-much more! For outdoor fun, you can explore the Great Smoky Mountains National Park, hike to waterfalls, ride horseback through valleys, picnic by a river, and fly fish! Once the thrills & adventure are over, visit tanger outlets & local boutiques where you can shop until you drop. When it's dinner time, enjoy local cuisine from southern family style restaurants to chef cooked meals. After dinner, you can find a sweet shop on every corner to satisfy that sweet tooth before returning to the property.
