Awesome Getaway

I took my wife's there to get away cuz we really enjoy Oklahoma and I would like to secluded area in the river was nice and we lucked out and the weather wasn't too hot so we would definitely come back in the future maybe in the winter which I think it would be really cozy and a great place to be thank you for letting us stay here

Running away from city life

With my husband and I busy life we wanted the perfect place to getaway and we found it. This secluded cabin with the view and sound of the creek was peaceful. We enjoyed breakfast and dinner on the patio and our lunches by the creek. At night we would sit in front of the cabin and enjoy the night sky full of stars and the fireflies. The trip was so enjoyable and relaxing we plan on staying again.

Love this cabin

2nd time to stay here. Cabin is wonderful. The wife loves it and trust me if it wasn't great I'd be reminded of it daily. See ya next year!!

Secluded Cabin

My wife and I really enjoyed our two nights at this cabin, it’s back down a winding road right next to a crystal clear creek, you can hear the water running through the rocks while sitting on the back deck. Very relaxing and nice to get away from everything now and then. The Wi-Fi worked great for us and the size of the cabin was perfect. The grounds were very well kept and the cabin was clean and very comfortable. We look forward to coming back!

Cabin in the woods

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy cabin! It was so secluded and quiet and beautiful. The cabin itself was very nice and clean and the location was perfect. We would definitely go back!

Great peaceful place

Thanksgiving Trip

We cannot say enough good things about our experience at this property. The cabin was super clean, well stocked and nicely furnished. The creek and surrounding woods were fun and easy to explore, and the cabin even had walking sticks which was a nice touch. Our family really enjoyed our Thanksgiving holiday there and hope to return to this property again. Excellent overall!

Spring Break

We had the best Spring Break playing in the river and enjoying the gorgeous views! We enjoyed walking the property and trying different fishing spots! We’ll definitely be back!

Very secluded Excellence

Its very beautiful. Very private. We enjoyed the quiet. But it had no TV connevtion. To be fair it was raining...but even whether it stopped... You know. We had a great time.

Refuge from the city

So remote and peaceful...an ideal get-away from frenetic city life! The kitchen is well-stocked with supplies and utensils. The deck overlooking the creek was the perfect setting for our Thanksgiving dinner.

Family vacation

This was the most amazing trip we had. The cabin was beautiful and we loved to hike around the woods near by. The kids and fur friend enjoyed the creek. We loved the quite and peacefulness around us. Thank you for the blessed week we had, and we loved the Godly decor. We will definitely be back.

Beautiful property - secluded and relaxing!

This property was easy to find. The cabin was very clean, well decorated, and secluded. We were impressed with the care the owners took to ensure we had all the information we needed (they even had printouts in the cabin of checkout procedures, helpful phone numbers, local guides, etc.) that gave us a stress-free trip. We will definitely be booking again. This is a fantastic gem of a property!

Need Supplies When You Stay

Beautiful babbling creek! Cabin really pretty and clean. Saw several deer! No TV available but several DVDs there. And some really good books! Make sure and take sweetener, coffee and singles, groceries, hand soap, and all bath essentials when you visit. 5 minutes to drive out. Way back and secluded. Visit DG on 259 for supplies and snacks before you drive there. We had a nice, restful stay.

Beautiful spot!

My father in law came to visit from England so we decided to go to the area for a few days instead of hanging around Dallas all week. This was my first stay here- a tad futher out than some cabins I have stayed in but a beautiful spot! The river is gorgeous and we loved sitting on the deck and around the fire, and on the front porch during a storm. Good for the soul! We will be back!

Family spring break

Beautiful property and very comfortable and well kept house. I really appreciated the dishwasher and laundry facilities (especially handy when the kids got soaking wet in the creek everyday). We all loved the deck and creek. We had a lovely campfire in the fire ring on the last night. The kids made us promise to bring them back and let them stay in the same house. Only drawback was how far the cabin is from the state park, grocery store, and restaurants. I knew that going in, but it did start to bother me on the trip more than I expected.

Family vacation

We had the most amazing stay. We really appreciate getting to bring our fur babies. They are really small and ran everywhere. The only downside is the creek was dry. But our son found enough water for catching pearch. The laundry was all caught up except bedding. I swept the floors but didn’t mop. Again thank you so very much The Atkinson Family. We hope to be repeating the visit soon

Beautiful view of the river

The view of the river off the back patio is the main selling point of this cabin. It is about 30 mins to Hochatown, about 45 mins to Broken Bow and about 55 mins to Idabel, for others who are looking at this cabin. The view of the river is worth the drive. Nice cabin, they had all of the cookware we needed. Nice fire pit out front. They provided some dry wood. Google maps takes you right to the cabin. Easy check in and check out. The owner stopped by and was super friendly, he had a nice dog too. Great experience, highly recommend if you want to be away from everyone.

It was very clean an easy to get into, was dissapponited at how far we really where from things. My mother who is in her 70s was very uncomfortable with how far out she was. Also it made it look like we where just a few steps from the water when acctualy you had to go down a very steap hill

Home away from home.

The house and area are beautiful and cozy. Our group was 1 grandchild and 3 grandparents. I personally had to work a little and they offered internet that allowed me to check/ respond by emails and check into my work program. We did miss being able to stream our programs but they had some decent movies and the lack of streaming made us appreciate holding dice in our hands to play Yahtzee for real, It was priceless to see our granddaughter take a victory lap when she got a Yahtzee. We built a fire and made s’mores with her for the first time, and she got to run that off that energy in the spacious yard before bed. The full kitchen enabled us to cook together and have more family time. The drive to Beaver Bend wasn’t too long and we were able to take a few excursions. The host was great at responding to my texts and inquiries. We even discussed making an annual trip back but during different seasons. In summary, great place to go, to unplug, enjoy family, friends and make memories. We highly recommend.

If you are looking to escape and enjoy the great outdoors this is the place to be. The location of this cabin was amazing! The creek was flowing due to recent rains which was perfect. We did not have phone service (Verizon) and the wifi didn't work which was awesome. Why go to a secluded cabin to be on your phone? The only negative is the cabin had an odor likely due to the fact it is pet friendly.
