We stayed here just one night on our way to Ohio from Florida. We will definitely return and visit Carowinds. I LOVE the location and the overall hotel - spacious and beautiful. Breakfast was just ok, but loved everything else. Would like to see waffles or pancakes like so many other hotels have.
Property was beautiful & very modern! It would be great during warmer weather due to the pool & firepit! Unfortunately 2 things left a bitter taste in our mouths. First, the lady at the front desk just stared at us when we walked in & didn’t greet us (which was so weird)
We had to greet her. Second; not a huge deal but there were stains on the bedsheets & that’s one thing that gets me at hotels! Besides that we will return. The atmosphere was nice and continental breakfast was a plus.
Everything was just as expected. All areas of inside was clean. Outside was clean. Temperature inside was comfortable. Lobby was inviting and cozy.

Our room door did not lock and due to us not getting in until later from Carowinds after we originally checked in, we did not realize the door did not lock until the next morning. This means we left our belongings and slept in a room where even with the door shut, you could push it and it would just open. This is not ok! This should be checked by staff every time someone checks out. The breakfast was not very good the first night we stayed.
