We decided to stay at this property due to the amenities they advertise on their website, such as a bar, a restaurant, and also a rooftop bar. Upon checking in, there was a sign that stated all of these facilities would be closed for the foreseeable future due to “maintenance “. Had we known about this ahead of time we would’ve stayed at a different location and we feel as though we were deceived by not stating this somewhere on their website or in an email.

Great location in downtown STL for a reasonable price. Within walking distance of many activities. Staff was amazing and very helpful. Close self secure parking available over the weekend. Only down side was no liquor license due to change in ownership. Will definitely book again!

I was not able to check into the two adjoining rooms I had reserved. Marvin O,the night manager, told me the rooms had been taken out of commission because the AC wasn’t working. They didn’t have any other rooms availabile to accommodate my party. I had 4 teenagers with me and they only had two rooms with one king size bed in each. Marvin gave me his information and told me he would issue a refund for the two rooms I reserved. Expedia has called for them to confirm the refund and now the hotel is saying they won’t issue my refund. I have called and left messages, but I’m getting no response.

My son and I came in for a Cubs Cardinals game for a couple days. Loved the roof top pool and view - great for cooling off, but too shallow for swimming. This hotel is beautiful with high ceiling and spacious rooms/shower. Love the wood work and old concrete ceilings and supports. The wooden plank vestibules on each floor are so old school, cool looking. If you appreciate structures that are built the right way like back in the old days when things were done right, you will appreciate this hotel. Now, I am not sure how long this hotel has been under construction (guessing it has been awhile and has halted), if she ever gets completed, this place will be a gem. Need ice, you have to ask someone at the front desk. Food? They have a small cantina, but not meal worthy. Bar is not utilized like it should be - part of the construction phase - but she has potential. Staff was nice and on their game - shout out to Tequila who was told my son would keep her busy with lost room cards (he didn't), she laughed and said, I am here. Concierge - not there and front staff too busy to really help out. Would I come back? Only when management figures out their differences and completes construction. Amenities are rather below average. Small and fairly new workout room - kinda hidden though.

Unfortunately this hotel looks very different in photos to what it really is. The rooms are dirty, the mattresses are super old and in very bad condition. The hotel restaurant does not work nor any of the areas they sponsor. I really do not recommend this hotel at all, the price is too high for what they offer. Without a doubt it is one of the worst hotels I have visited in my life, please do not fall for this scam.

First time staying at this property.... Pool bar was closed without notice. (One of reasons we chose this hotel.) A.C. had to continuously be turned ON troughout the night. T.V. remote...nowhere to be found in our room. Room phone didn't work...couldn't call about the A.C. issue or answer when someone called. Assuming it was the front desk as we requested towels and pillows. Luckily we ran into the gentleman who was searching for our room. Went to the front desk several times throughout the evening to report A.C. & it was a ghost town.... Finally found someone at midnight to get enough towels and pillows for 2 people in a king bed room. First visit to The Last Hotel...ummmm....needless to say it'll be the LAST!

The room was spacious and accommodating. The property seems in transition with upgrades to restaurant and lobby bar, resulting in the closure of those amenities for an “undetermined period of time.” The fitness center was well-maintained and clean.

I booked this hotel for a staycation and planned to use the rooftop pool with the rooftop bar/restaurant. Little did I know, they are between management so the bar/restaurant was closed. I had to Uber eats alcohol to the hotel, and had no cooler to keep drinks cold. This was so inconvenient and not the relaxing vacation I was hoping for, especially for how expensive this place was. They should have let us know this huge inconvenience before the stay, or gave us a discount on the room.

Very disappointed the restaurant and rooftop bar were not open. We specifically booked for the rooftop bar based on photos we saw on line. Also the area is very scary at night. Lots of homeless and seedy looking characters all over. We noticed a large police presence and streets were blocked off. The front desk person lied to us as to why all the police. We found out later on the news there were 2 shootings in the area the night before. Someone spent a lot of money at one time to renovate the place with high end amenities but it’s going downhill. No one wants to be in a hotel where they don’t feel safe.
