It did not have an elevator. A/C window unit in room noisy. Claw foot tub without rubber bath mat or grab bars. I bought a mat. Additional resort fee seemed excessive. No parking or even reduced rate for guests.

I cant say enough positive things about this property. The staff was amazing. It was clean. Beds were comfortable. It is an old hotel woth a lot of charm. The front desk guy goes above and beyond for every customer. The bar staff makes amazi g drinks and it is right downtown and 2 or 3 blocks from the pier. We will definitely be back

Thus stay was a terrible experience. The 1st room smelled musty and damp. The sink didn’t have any water. We moved to another room and the shower had to practice pulled out of the wall to get any water and it was freezing- never warmed up. There was no in at the reception desk and the bartender close by ignored us. The write up said there was breakfast included- there was not!! Slav who worked there was very friendly and helpful once he showed up. The security guard at 20 at night was also very helpful. Would not return or recommend this location. Stayed one night and had to leave!

I enjoyed the friendly staff, the ceiling fan, and the natural light our room provided. I wished the bathroom was bigger but understood as a historic inn that might not be possible.

It's an old property so it has a lot of that kind of charm yet it was updated enough to work. It's kind of noisy downtown but we ran the fan on the A/C and it acted as white noise. We would book there again.

This hotel was cute. Only booked it because it was cheap. Lots of construction nearby. Note staff was nice but they could use more. Room was fine. Furniture was stained and there were holes in the walls. Overall, it was fine

Loved our stay over the weekend! The staff were friendly and recommended great choices for dining options especially late night food! We enjoyed grabbing a cocktail from the bar and sitting on the front porch! We were there to enjoy a festival at Vinoy Park and it was an easy 15 min walk through a safe atmosphere. They are adding on so there is construction but that didnt bother us one bit. Love the old world charm of the hotel and cant wait to stay here again in the future!

This is a difficult review. First, the staff was excellent. They went out of he way to be helpful. BUT, the hotel itself is shabby. The room was small, the bathroom was very small. No elevator. One of the staffers took our luggage up two flights of narrow, steep stairs, and I (age 73) carried it all down when we left. In the room, there was nowhere to unpack clothes, no dresser, no closet. The location of the hotel on 2nd Ave is great (we highly recommend the Craft Kafe for breakfast and coffee) and is close to several museums, lots of restaurants and The Pier. One additional warning: there is major construction going on as the hotel is building a new wing, so by 7 a.m. or so you can expect noise. Because the staff was so good, we would consider staying there again once the new wing comes online.

Quirky 100 year old hotel with claw foot tubs and rocking chairs in the front porch. Exceptionally friendly staff, an easy walk to the pier and parking garage nearby.

I was in St. Petersburg for a wedding on what turned out to be a very busy weekend. The hotel was conveniently located and very affordable. My main issue was noise, both from the window air conditioner and the street noise. My room was at the front of the hotel and there was a lot of noise. I would recommend a room towards the back of the hotel.

It was in a great location and the staff was very nice. The hotel itself is very run down, mattress was lumpy and noisy, sink was cracked, bathroom was very tiny.

The Cordova Inn is centrally located to a lot of fun things to do in Downtown St. Pete. Being 103 years old, we do believe the hotel is doing as expected. Nationally stamped in 2004, we are limited to the things we can do. However, we are sad to hear about the crack in the sink and the uncomfortable bed. We hope you were able to report these things to our staff to be looked into right away. Thank you again for staying with us.

As long as you understand that this is a historic building & will not likely present with modern comforts, this is an amazing hotel; small & quaint. The location is SO great w/many shops & restaurants within just a few blocks & very close to the newly developed St Pete’s pier which has a small sandy beach. There is live music in most directions & it’s a vibrant area of St. Petersburg. The hotel lobby & bar itself is quite a vibe; quaint & full of energy. I found the parking quite convenient (you get an electronic key card for a garage around the corner). Even on a day of a huge community event that blocked off streets & the park adjacent to the hotel, we still found room to park in the garage. Just know, this is a historic building. There are stairs to climb (no elevator), a lot of the fixtures and windows appear original. If you’re in a room that faces the street, it’s pretty noisy. You can hear the activity in the lobby and bar and guests were enjoying the beautiful porch late into the evening and we could hear all the conversations. The street traffic can be noisy as well. We did not mind this and I assume it would be more quiet towards the middle and the back of the hotel. The rooms need some TLC but they are cute. The beds are very comfortable! The bathrooms are small/functional, shower is precarious; a piped shower in a small footed bathtub that was challenging to climb in & out of. But great service, perfect location, quaint experience, I would definitely return!

The Cordova Inn is a historic hotel, 3 floors, staff friendly, accommodations unique. Room was clean. Be aware that there are 3 different bathroom styles. We had a claw foot tub with a shower and it was difficult to get in and out of the tub. Small bathroom. Other bathrooms either have a walkin shower or shorter tub. Also, construction next door, which was loud starting about 7am.

Beautiful hotel. Bit of building work going on, so not much of a view, but the room was lovely, the hotel lobby area is really nice and it's in a nice area...short walk to the pier area. Only criticism is that the bath in the room was very difficult to get out of. It needs a mat or something. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. If I ever visit the area again, I will be looking at this hotel.

As so many others mentioned happened to them, I was told parking was complimentary. It was NOT. When I called to question the $68 charge on my bill, the manager HUNG UP ON ME. Yeh, left a real bad taste in my mouth. What a shame, cuz I liked the place. Oh, and sink didn’t really work.

I found the Hotel policy of the front desk closing at 6pm and opening at 10 am deplorable. Those are the only hours guests are not around. If you need help, and I did, after 6pm you are out of luck. Th hotel provides a phone number with the ominous warning if you call after hours make sure it is a real emergency. Guess what? Guests at almost every other hotel in the world have a front desk in which to ask simple questions of but not at Cordova, They want to only hear from you if it was an emergency. Complying with their request I did not have internet during my stay. Complicating my trip immensely. I will not stay there again.

Robert, we are very sorry to hear about your stay, and for this, we do apologize. Our hours of operation are listed on the booking site used to make your reservation. We cannot staff 24 hours as our property is very small with an even smaller staff. The security line is for emergencies such as lockouts or helping our guests with late arrival information. Thankfully all of our staff is very knowledgeable about the hotel and our procedures. We do provide every guest with a Welcome letter with other helpful tips and tricks to the hotel including our wifi information. We'd like to hear more from you. Construction on addition directly outside our window with no knowledge of it until we checked in. No elevator and no help with bags going to the third floor.

We, however, are expanding next door to bring our guests a new experience. The Cordova Inn is 103 years old this year, with the expansion our company will be able to bring elevators to the addition to accommodate all of our guests. We got a great deal on this room, which is what drew our attention to the Cordova Inn. The room was barely above average. The bathrooms are very dated, the flooring creaks and moves as you walk around and the bed was relatively uncomfortable. However it was quaint for our two night stay. What made the experience so much better, was the coffee shop/bar in the lobby. We were greeted with friendly faces and delicious drinks each morning and evening. The area is also relatively walkable which we appreciated!

Our room was about 100 sq feet less than promised the bathroom was about 4 x 8 feet in total although they had more rooms they would not move us. the walls were thin could hear snoring from another room. Hole in wall Nowhere to plug in charger. We left after one night.

Historic property located within walking distance (15 minutes or less) of museums, shopping, and dining options. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was a good size (2 queen beds) but bathroom was tiny. Nicely refurbished except carpet was worn and dirty looking. In process of adding new 63 room addition so it was noisy during the day in the common area and porch. Also, no elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Ok for us but be aware if you have difficulty climbing stairs.

The Cordova Inn has become a hit with a lot of our locals who like to enjoy The Scott, the cafe/cocktail bar. In addition to the brand new rooms, we are also having an elevator put in that will give us the ability to have access to all the floors. The room didn’t quite meet expectations from the pictures. The furniture felt really shabby, there is no desk to work at and the bathroom was absurdly tiny. Sitting on the toilet I could rest my chin on the sink in front of the toilet. The biggest issue I had was the window ac unit. Had to keep it running the whole time to keep the room cool and this is in January. Even when it was cool, felt dank and humid. Would definitely not stay here again.

Quaint and tastefully decorated. The staff was very friendly. However, after booking through hotels.com we had an additional $60 charge upon arriving at the hotel. With how much they charge per night you would think they would update things like the shower heads, the toilet fixtures, etc. it felt like being in an I’ll maintained apartment. The blinds were black out but there were no curtains and so much light got in beside the blinds that it was hard to fall asleep. The photos are nice online but there is heavy construction going on directly next to the cordova making the patio less than ideal.

I travel all over for work and used to live in St. Pete, so I know the area well. We chose to stay here based on the quaint, historic, but upscale feel of the pictures. I knew it was in a nice part of town, so I expected to pay a bit of a premium for it. What I didn't expect was for the room to be tiny. We could barely even get in the bathroom. There was zero heat and it got down into the 40s outside, meaning it was in the 50s in our room. Zero noise-proofing, so every plane overhead sounded like it was in our room. Every person outside in the adjacent parking sounded like they were screaming in the hallway, and the construction on the hotel addition started banging and hammering at 6:30am. And the bathroom straight-up smelled like 10 years of soaked pee. $200/night for Midland, TX accommodations. Not thrilled to have paid for it.

Kayla at the check in was phenomenal!! The kind of customer service she provides is not found these days. We messed up during checkout and didn't get out car first from the parking garage and the 3rd party parking garage wouldn't let us leave without giving them more money, even though we had our receipt. Kayla left her desk and came down to the parking garage (1 1/2 blocks away)to personally make sure we were allowed to leave the garage without any further harassment from the parking garage operators. Can't say enough about Kayla and dedication to the guests she serves!!
