We stayed one night at the Galleon House Hotel.
Nice staff (it's a family owned property and they live there too) who allowed us to check in early at 1:30 on a Monday afternoon. It's an older property, up on a very steep hill with MANY stairs to get to the lobby and most of the rooms. No elevators, this does NOT have handicapped access !! My husband has had knee and ankle surgery, so it was difficult for him to get to anything on their property. We had a upper level room with a small balcony that came with a small table and two chairs with a nice view of the harbor. The rooms are outdated and need new curtains and paint. Our queen size bed was EXTREMELY uncomfortable with 4 flat pillows; we did not sleep well ! There was also a twin size bed in our room plus a desk and chair. A small fridge is also in the room. We had a private bathroom with a shower only ( no tub) . We had a noisy AC unit in our room plus a ceiling fan. There is a nice community area by their check in that has tables, chairs, and a microwave. They also have snacks and drinks for sale. A limited breakfast is provided from 8 to 9:30 am daily. They have a newly remodeled built in pool and pool area with tables, chairs, and several chaise loungers.
I would recommend this Hotel for 1 - 2 nights only, this is not a deluxe resort for a full vacation. We took a taxi to the airport and were charged $ 15 pp, including a small piece of luggage and one carry on per person.
